while the guys has done some... questionable things. he definitely did a good job unveiling some details we never knew about Rayman 4

Well, I'm glad that video finally was released. But damn, the Wii and other next gen consoles really did seem to kill Rayman 4 from happening, although more timing issues really made things worse...

But imo, if anything from that first concept of Rayman 4, that idea that "Rayman" was just a avatar representing data or something... honestly made me think about Assassin's Creed's Animus chamber, especially since this plot was reliving the events of Rayman's 1 and 2's story. All I can say is I wish this concept didn't die in the end, as it really seemed rather like a interesting idea for a Rayman game to take.

I'm unable to watch the video at the moment, but I love the look of the concept art. Submarine Rayman is the best thing I've ever seen.

Honestly, I expected more from the video.. I mean, we all knew about that from the podcast, but it was nice to know about "Rayman Submarine" and "Rayman Land".

I don't like so much that plot, but we won't know, maybe if the game was released and I played it maybe I'd like it, the time will tell us what the future holds for Rayman, and I hope it's good.

That's honestly what I thought too, I kinda thing that was all they could either get or allowed to get, seeming this took a while to publish. But either way, glad I know more about what happened to R4, sad it ended up killing a company trying to make the game to begin with...

I just wish we could get a 3D game now. People may think 2D is better, or that they don't care or whatever, screw them, I want 3D because it's something Rayman didn't even fully get his feet wet with, like Mario or Sonic...

Well, now I know it wasn't fully Ubisoft's fault...it was just bad timing on their part... but still, it's really sad that the concepts from the first version of the game didn't get used later on or held on for future references...

And again, from what that video made it seem with "Rayman" as a avatar in a digital space, retelling past events from R1 and R2, it honestly gave me Animus vibes from Assassin's Creed...

o ^ o Rayman in his own Memory Corridor? T _ T Dang, that would have benn AMAZING! They wasted such a beauty of concepts and a pretty awesome idea! They should ONE DAY get back to it, they can definitely re-take it.

I hope so...I really like the idea... It may have been ambitious, but I really think it would have been pretty cool. But, supposedly, they were going to appear in R4 (not RRR Beta) and Ancel created them to later scrap the beauty, and go with something apocalyptic, BUT NOPE, not even that, as the final result was just filled with humilliation and overshadowing for Rayman.

Yeah, even Ancel's version of R4 would have been better than the final result. But oh well, I hope someday the original R4 concept get's reused and created without any issues this time. Hopefully how it was supposed to be, without the Rabbids.

I finally had the time to watch the video. All I have to say is, wow. I'm very saddened this got the boot, I'm not sure how I feel about Rayman being a representation of the player, or the fact that he knows he's a video game character, but everything else sounds great. I'm sad now

Yeah, that's the only thing we can do now, and still hope to see more of what R4 was going to be.

And well, it has happened to times that things I hate make me create something out of it and I start to love them, the first being Other M Ridley, hating it with passion, but then it turned into a great idea of mine, a comedic relief using it alongside SM Ridley, now I don't hold any kind of hatred, and well, again, the Rabbids and the silly excuse I saw years ago on why it turned into a party game made me create my Assassin Ray project, and now I mostly ignore them, but I still hate them.

It was quite a hastle to make him fit in thought. I couldn't find a clear image so I had to manually delete the background.
I had to delete Samus to get space for our man. and I had to change Rosalina around to not make it look like someone took a bite out of her dress. but I'd say the endresult is rather nice so I think it was worth it.

And I understand that as well. I may not have grown up with Metroid, but since a purple space dragon was what got me on Smashboards to begin with, I grown to love Metroid, and seeing what Other M was... yeah, the fans deserve better...
