He may have been playable in PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale (unlike a certain duo of Activision characters we rated earlier), but I'm not sure if he's iconic enough to live up to Sakurai's own standards. He also lacks ballot support.

Seems rather unlikely, if he was considered and then dropped willingly by Sakurai, then it would seem unlikely that he'd go back without a significant amount of ballot support, which simply isn't apparent. If it was dropped unwillingly however, this could be an opportunity to re-open that can of worms, but I highly doubt it would have been unavoidable, so I doubt in its likelihood of becoming a reality.

Chance: 9%. What he has going for him is that he was briefly considered as a fighter. However, he falls under briefly, as in not seriously planned, and from the sounds of it, was considered next to other unnamed potential Namco newcomers.

Interviewer: Between Bandai and Namco, were there any other strong candidates for inclusion as a fighter?

Sakurai: There were none. We basically thought of all the characters at the start of development. We decided on characters we knew we could make. However, there were a few in consideration, such as Heihachi from “Tekken.”*

Personally, I find his reason for exclusion, too complicated, is abit of an "easy" excuse to not bother with a character who's already been in a 2D fighter before. It sounds more like a concept randomly brought up one day before being quickly dismissed.

I would normally say there's the chance of Sakurai reviving the old concept like he did Villager, however, the way the E3 Smash Presentation worded it, Sakurai feels he's united the 3 biggest fighting games (SF, VF, Tekken) already...with the VF and Tekken Mii costumes. As such, I don't think Heihachi has much of a chance as a dlc fighter unless Namco pushes for another character, or he somehow dominates the ballot, which probably won't happen. Unless he cheats.

Not just because Heihachi is boss, but in general I've liked the concepts of characters from other fighting games thanks to how well done Ryu is. They can incorporate the mechanics of Tekken into Smash very well by including Heihachi, who'd be the perfect choice, especially considering he's appeared in two other 2D fighters by now. It'd also be hilarious to see someone playable in Battle Royale included. I can already see him having this as his victory music.

What is it?
When ever you play as R.O.B. in any mode that isn't in the sub-menu "Games & More", R.O.B.'s eyes won't animate at all, he shows no sign of anything.

This means
-No angry eyes when performing up or down throw
-No sad eyes when he himself is grabbed
-No glitchy eyes when he is hurt
-No occasionally nodding off when standing still
-No closing his eyes when falling asleep
-No facing the screen and blinking when standing still (seen in his classic video)

Why should I care
Because a polished game is a better game, and he has a some cool expressions in this game. And how would you feel if your main had no expressions?

What should I do?
I've been told to politely mention it to Sakurai on Twitter, but I don't have Twitter. If you don't have twitter, the next best thing is probably just spread the word on other sites such as Smashboards and Miiverse.

Why did you nominate this, again?
To spread the word, it may be minor but as a R.O.B. main this annoys me so much, I remember with the release of the 3DS version I thought R.O.B.'s angry eyes was one of the coolest thing, so when I went to try it on the Wii U version, I got nothing. It was such a downgrade, What happened? How did this stupid glitch come to be?

While the series may be one of Capcom's biggest money makers, the director of the series clearly states that he would never want the characters being fighters in any crossover (hence his absence in Marvel vs. Capcom 3). Plus, these guys lack ballot support and we have enough Capcom characters in the roster.

Love Monster Hunter and all, but I would rather see him appear in a Capcom fighter (even if the creators don;t want him too). And there are plenty of third parties I'd rather have over him/her.
