Seven Pokemon Characters:

Chance: 35%. Assuming that the roster is around 50 slots, this leaves very little room for other series to get new characters. Bloating the biggest series' is something Sakurai is not fond of, so I don't find it too likely.

Want: 65%. Of course, this rating assumes they aren't taking the place of someone I wanted or think deserved a slot. That being said, I don't feel it too necessary to have another Pokemon, it's fine as it is. If I had to choose, I'd opt to keep Ivysaur. Or maybe add Sceptile.

Dr. Eggman:

Chance: 1%. Why are we rating him? Maybe as an Assist Trophy, but even then he's competing with Shadow, Tails, and Knuckles.

Want: 100%. I HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!!!

Speculator Mode: 54%. It doesn't seem like something worth cutting,though it doesn't really seem like something worth keeping, either.

Want: 50% - I'm not sure. On one hand, this would basically guarantee that both Mewtwo and Jigglypuff return, which I hope happens. On the other I think this might be overrepresenting it and I don't want any of the remaining newcomers.

Eggman's chances and want: 0% - He's below Tails, Shadow, and Knuckles in my eyes, and all of them are extremely unlikely. I've always liked Eggman, but I don't think he would make a good fighter. I'd only support him as a boss.

Spectator Mode prediction: 63.19% - Pretty good.
Overpowered prediction: 47.21% - Not a clue.
Plusle and Minun prediction: 1.48% - Not likely.

We only get one character per third party and Sonic takes that spot; however, Eggman's chances of being an Adventure type boss increases his chances of getting in the game.

I don't really want more than 1 Sonic character in SSB4 and, if we somehow get more than 1 Sonic character, I would prefer it to be Tails or Knuckles.

Eggman would be awesome as a boss though.

I admit I'm a little biased (not a Sonic fan), but having 2 third-party reps goes against the Smash series' purpose: celebrating Nintendo. Having two Sonic reps takes the focus off of the Nintendo characters that should be central.

Pokemon, over all other franchises, deserves the most characters, as it has the most to draw from. Other franchises, like Mario, Zelda, etc., they are character driven, you only have so many to draw from. But Pokemon? There are sooooooo many that could be made into playable fighters, there is so much potential for so many. We had 6 in Brawl (Sakurai himself said they counted as seperate characters), we will definitely have at least 6 this time around, 7 definitely seems plausible. I consider Mewtwo a shoe in, Jigglypuff has a strong chance of returning, and we've had 2 Pokemon newcomers with every iteration.

Eggman: .2% NOPE. I mean, I know we all like MUH VILLAINS but this is still one of the least likely Sonic characters we could get, also I wouldn't even give the chances of us getting ANY other Sonic characters a high rating at all so... Nope.
Want: 5% I mean it wouldn't be the end of the world but NOPE!

Seven Pokemon: 7% I mean, if they keep jiggs, keep ivysaur but not squirtle or have sceptile or something (or venusaur as I'll nominate him) and re-add Mewtwo it's plausible... but then again all of those other characters give me at least a LITTLE reason to doubt their chances (well, Jigglypuff's probably fine but still) so seeing 3 of those happen is a little farfetch'd. Also 7 seems a bit overboard. 6 is fine but 7 might be problematic.

Taking a wild guess on this seems inadvisable, so I'm going to take a (possibly incorrect) math-based approach using all my most recent ratings:

Grand total ends up at 630%; add in an extra 10% or so for something else unexpected and you get a healthy 40% chance of Pokemon getting a hefty seven slots. Now, I do think this is probably too high, nor am I really sure Pokemon will manage to get up to six, but those are the numbers I've got and if that's overrated, then it is what it is.

Want - 100% - I love having more Pokemon in Smash; not coincidentally, the idea of Pokken being revealed as a Pokemon fighting game at E3 is extremely intriguing to me.

I have great difficulty seeing Sakurai add two playable characters from the same third party franchise to Smash, and even if that were to pass, I don't think Eggman would beat out more popular/notable characters like Tails or Shadow. Close enough to an impossibility for me to call it a 0%.
Want - 0% - Adding multiple characters from individual third party franchises would ruin their uniqueness in my opinion.

Fine.... Multiply the chance stats for all 700+ (Including confirmed ones) pokemon while reducing the denominator's for the chance in percentage from 100 to 1/6 of 100 for every generation having three-five games to themselves.

Chance: <1%- I just can't see it happening. Jigglypuff and Mewtwo seem very likely and Ivysaur+Squirtle seem pretty out to me. I can't think of any other pokemon that deserves a spot either, even though there's a lot of cool monsters to work with.
Want: 20%- I'd love to see some of my favorite pokemon like Gengar, Hitmonlee and Scizor in smash brothers, but since we have a limited roster, I'd rather see a more diverse cast of characters. Hopefully we'll get Pokken soon so we can finally see every pokemon duke it out in a fighting game.

• Jigglypuff is almost sure to return don't let anyone convice of it isn't, Mewtwo was apparently cut in the last minute in Brawl, so for the magic number is 6.
• If they add another one it should be either Squirtle or Ivysaur, leaving one of them out while mantaining the other two of Pokemon trainer seems out of the window.
• Either way we get 6 or 8 but not 7, you include Squirtle and Ivysaur, then you have to miss on either Jigglypuff or Mewtwo, you include Jigglypuff and Mewtwo you miss either Squirtle or Ivysaur.
• This 7 pokemon thing appears to only help the chances of the theoriset Sceptile.

Want: 7% lol

• You might not know this but Pokemon is actually the franchise I have the most games with 10 in total starting with Pokemon Yellow, but I prefer to have another slot for another character that might deserve it. Pokemon is already well represented like I said yesterday I don't belive in Over representation but Pokemon with 6 or even 5 is in good numbers. (Yes even it that means having less than in Brawl)

--- Not betting money on it, but I'm not buying the "over-represented" argument at all. This is the only game here that could fill an entire Smash roster by its self, and it could it do it 10 times over. You think think Ridley is too big? The Mario franchise has effectively 8 characters already (If they debuted in a Mario game, and appeared in Mario Party, they are a Mario character as far as I am concerned). Jiggs, Mewtwo, Sceptile.

I don't get why everybody is nominating Waddle Dee.
I remember when I tried to once and everybody told me to stop. And now the same people that told me not to decide to get him to the top of the list in 3 days. What?

Nothing has changed regarding his likelihood... throughout all of Smash 4 speculation.
I guess not having a prominent role in Triple Deluxe might have hurt a little bit, but seriously, why rate him more than once/twice/three times?
And why are the same people who said "ugh lets never do this again" last time all nominating him?
My confusion comes mostly from the fact that I can't even begin to imagine how anybody could believe that Sakurai would actually consider him(sorry it's an opinion)...
but it still seems a bit hypocritical, so I couldn't help but bring it up.

When I look anywhere else, nobody cares and is completely neutral, but when I have to deal with his cult fanbase here that forces him down everybody's throats, I can't help but hate the guy.
People here joke around about Diddy Kong forcing Impa onto all of us, but you guys all do the same exact things, and what's worse is that you're a bunch of Diddy Kongs, not just 1. If we're going to rate him again, can we please have no 70%+ ratings? I don't want to say something like this--but that number is just so high and unjustified. I've given some high ratings in the past, but I've thought over a lot of them and decided on a new score.

This may not even matter, we might learn his role at E3, I just think that all of the same things will happen again.

IMO The last rating wasn't even all that bad, there's just no point in doing it all again. But fine. Have your day. Ugh.
