So I started play Pokemon somewhat competitively about 2(ish) months ago. And after doing some research and getting some help from my friends I made the following team. Please don't rate too harshly.

Lead:
Aerodactyl @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
Jolly Nature
4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Stealth Rock
Taunt
Earthquake
Rock Slide

Skarmory @ Shed Shell
Ability: Keen Eye
Impish Nature
252 HP / 64 Atk / 176 Def / 16 Spe
Brave Bird
Roost
Spikes
Whirlwind

Tentacruel @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
Calm Nature
252 HP / 120 Def / 136 SpD
Toxic Spikes
Substitute
Sludge Bomb
Surf

Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
Calm Nature
24 HP / 252 Def / 232 SpD
Aromatherapy
Softboiled
*Flamethrower
Thunder Wave / Toxic
* Once I get SS I'll be switching Flamethrower to Seismic Toss.

Snooorrlaaax! @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
Sassy Nature
244 HP / 28 Def / 236 SpD
Rest
Sleep Talk
Body Slam
Earthquake Should I replace this with Crunch or Fire Blast?

Dusknoir @ Leftovers

Ability: Pressure
Impish Nature
252 HP / 28 Atk / 228 Def
Will-O-Wisp
Pain Split
Earthquake (Should I replace this with Fire Puch?)
Ice Punch

So this is my very first team. Please tell me anything, anything at all to make this team better.
BTW, I didn't know how many of the pokemon in a team are allowed to have Leftovers soo that's why like 4 of them have that item.
RATE Please!

Eggmanland, obviously.
Hmmmm....

Take my opinions with a grain of salt, K?

Aero gets the job done. So does Skarm. The rest, well....

Tentacruel: Why Sub? HP Electric is more useful....unless this is in-game.

Blissey and Snorlax are both specially defensive. They are both Normal types with high HP. Kick one for something with better team synergy. Or at least make Blissey Bold.

I'll rate more later.

1. I don't know how to control Hidden Power. (My Tenta is Lvl. 100)

2. If I kick Blissey or Snorlax whom should I replace them with?

It looks like you're going for a stall team, aiming for a final Curselax sweep.

Stall teams need to last a long time. You are essentially playing with a team of five Pokémon and some Stealth Rocks. I recommend replacing Aerodactyl with Swampert, who can rack up entry hazard damage with Roar and has amazing bulk and typing.

Skarmory must run one of the following:

Leftovers and Brave Bird
Shed Shell and Drill Peck
No attacking moves, Taunt, and speed EVs

Brave Bird recoil without Leftovers recovery will build up.

Give Tentacruel Rapid Spin or Knock Off instead of Substitute.

Give Snorlax Earthquake or Fire Punch. Blissey walls the **** out of Gengar and Rotom (watch out for Explosions, though).

Dusknoir sucks. Really, he's just... not good. If you can't use Rotom-A, I recommend Spiritomb.

Pretty good team, just a few things I noticed

definably go with a Curselax, switch dusknoir for rotom also watch out for tyranitars and a CS heatrans cuz more than half your team has a problem with them

IMO for your first team this is good but you made the rookie mistake. Besides Skarm and Aro this team is just a bunch of good pokemon stuck to a team

Only use Aerodactyl if your team is some hyper-offensive team, right? wants a lead that reliably sets up SR while preveenting the opposing lead from getting it up.
I hate how people view Aerodactyl leads. It does its job REALLY well.

Also if this is a stall team Aerodactyl is a poor choice, go with either swampert, hippowdon, or ttar. Also a rapid spinner would be really nice. I would suggest Rapid Spin > Substitute on Tenta and then Rotom-A over Dusknoir.

It's not that Aerodactyl does his job badly, it's just that you're hiring a high school graduate who knows (and only knows) Python like the back of his hand when you could be going for a college graduate who knows Python, C++, Perl, Java, and Lisp.

Or you could just teach the high school graduate the syntax of C++, Perl, java, and lisp.

Aerodactyl is good

Good team imo. I just don't like the Tentacreul for some reason. he doesnt seem to have that much of a reason. You're already very defensive, so add a offensive powerhouse like one of dem dragons. I've personally never been a fan of Aerodactyl, but that's just me. He really does have his uses.

OK, I have a question:

Why are you using Serene Grace on Blissey instead of Natural Cure?

It's an in-game team and it's too late to change it now without starting from scratch?

The proper Nature was probably only an afterthought, I guess Flamethrower can also get some lucky hax in against non-heatran switch-ins into it.
