Hey Fox boards. Here's a video of my Fox against my friend's Falcon. On a side-note, during this match, we started wall-jumping for fun and that Firefox at 1:14, that was my finger slipping (before you get any ideas).

As a special extra video, here's one of me four-stocking my friend's Marth. Rate that too please.

My honest opinion:

I don't think I've ever seen a Fox use the shine so sparingly. You need to waveshine ALOT against Marths and Falcons. It beats out their shield grabs. Vs. Marth, we all know grab to uair ***** him...but vary your attacks, its so repetitive (not that its bad). Waveshining to nairs and combo him to hell would do your entire game much better. It would make you much less predictable. It that sense, you play your Fox like one would play Marth, grab spammy. Just try different things to improve your tech skill and to force yourself to improve. Nairs combos, drillshines...not just uthrow uair on every stock. Don't stop doing it though, its still an amazing move to abuse vs. Marth.

I know. It's just that, during the Marth match, I was working on predicting (reason for four-stock). During other matches, I work on my overall tech skill. Someday I'll combine those two though. Maybe I should get a match of me actually drillshining and other stuff. Also, I like to grab a lot. It's fun to annoy people by grabbing.

its not fun when you're at a tournament and your opponent's Marth can actually space his moves and hit you because your grab game gets ridiculously repetitive.

Also, the reason you got a 4 stock is because that Marth isn't so great. He got grabbed WAY more than Marth should, and his spacing is...yea...there is no spacing. Predicting is like chasing techs and rolls...which I saw none of.

My point still stands though. There was no waveshining, and it is that which you need to implement into your game.

I'll be playing against my friend later today. I'll record a couple matches where I actually use my tech skill. That includes a lot of waveshining.

Its not about being flashy and "making sure you get your tech. skill on tape".

Fox styles should be internalized, and not planned. It should flow with each situation, and there should be an equal balance in usage of all the good Foxy moves that **** Marth.

Shffl'd Nair to shine is always good at low %. One thing I do to follow up a Waveshine on a Marth is Fsmash since I can't WD up to him fast enough. xD

RaynEX keeps saying everything before me, but you desperately need to vary your game up. It looked a bit like I was watching a scripted Fox do the fighting, repeating the same thing over and over and over. A better player would've known what you were gunna do before even you did. You'd get slaughtered out of the attack you hadn't even made yet 0.0

WTF of course it is. The only reason I play Fox is so I can stand there and multishine while my opponent walks up and fsmashes me. ;)

i only watched the first video...

ok, start to shffl, on cf's especially do shffled nairs > wshine > nair > wshine > etc > dsmash

at 2:03 you could have recovered by tapping the control stick back and forth then jumped and avoided being killed...

and learn to shinespike, don't fear falling down, its pretty easy, you fall down...hold down, press b, hit up, then up b...

lol. I hate when people brush aside advice when they clearly make threads asking for it.

With comments like "I know", you'll never get any better bro.

You miss a lot of l-cancels in there without shining after your shffl'd attacks which i think could have made some key differences in the match. overall, it looks like you have a decent amount to learn (how to combo falcon after u-throw especially), lol. but it looks like your on your way. you have the techniques down you just need to speeden and tighten em up. play better players also and you'll learn different things to do in different situations.

No RaynEX. i'm not disregarding your advice (and other people's). It's just that I was messing around like crazy and I'm so much better than this it's not even funny. Like there are some matches when I play only using uair. Others where all I do is drillshine. I'm just saying that this isn't even close to my best.

@GOTM: There is no one else where all live. :(

The remedy: Don't post matches where you're screwing around then ask for advice,

THEN...say you weren't really playing? Wth?

I'm not your mom though, do what you will.

I'm still trying to get a better match up though. I was just curious as to what you people had to say about these videos until I got the better ones up but you people are making it sound like that's all I can do. (no offense, it's good information, it's just the way your saying it)
