I only watched the first stock.

- Don't do stupid attacks like jabs/lasers and short hopping in-front of the opponent.
- DI the knee up, not down.
- More nairs/Drills/shines.

Fox should be dominating falcon.

Jag förstår inte. Vad sa du?

space, he didnt DI the knee down. thats the normal direction it sends you when you dont DI. i do agree with the rest.

fullhop nair with lots of shining, as well is predicting your opponent so he doesnt punish your lag. SH nair sucks compared to fullhop nair. example: chillin beat ken before he could SH with fox.

I never really used sh nair against falcon to be honest. I use it a lot versus marth and falco because I found it to be very effective versus them, but I guess I just need to start using it more. I think a lot of the other stuff is just practice. I don't get to play much smash against another human to often so every little get together helps. Also, if you noticed, I stop a lot during my fights. I think that has a lot to do with the fact that my hands have trouble keeping up with my brain. :S

Thanks for the advice though. I definitely work on what you guys said.

I still suck at this game.

I think there are better vids on his HD. I don't know why he uploaded these.

against falcon = keep applying the pressure. if you both have plenty of room, it gives the falcon a WHOLE lot of options. waveshine combos, utilts, and plenty of me. dont let him move.

against marth = learn to sweet spot for one. you got like 92% from him pressing one button, LOL. also, uthrow>uair still seems the most consistent way to destroy marths to me. also, SHINE.

against falco = GIMPTASTIC. throw him off the stage and kill him. if you keep him on the stage (in stages where u cant CG), you will probably lose. apply pressure on him too because lasers destroy your long distance game. there's really no camping against a laser happy falco

Fox should be dominating falcon.

That's really not true at all. Fox has a slight advantage, but it's impractical to assume that Fox SHOULD be winning every time. It's a game, not math. Watch any number of videos of Isai owning fox's. And in all honesty it looks like doppelganger is the better player, so of course he's going to win.

Anyway, krammit:

I'm watching the videos now, I'll add more stuff once I'm done. For now though, I'll say: YOU'RE NOT WATCHING HIM D:

Comments during the video:

Match 1:

- wtf happened at 2:05? lol
- you seemed sort of impatient to get on with the combos. just wait and watch

Match 2:

- LOL. nice teching btw.
- why did you run away when he was coming back to the stage? you're the one on it, so you're in power. stay there and edgeguard.
- 1:07. beautiful.

Match 3:

- 1:08 nice shinespike
- practice aerials. you keep using fair, which is (in my experience) pretty useless outside a combo (say you're chaining nairs and want some more space for an up smash, so you use fair because its weaker and positions them better)
- good up air chains
- most top tier epic failure ever at the ending

Match 4:
- lol at being spiked by illusion. I could make a montage out of all the times that's happened to me.
- ouch

Alright, overall comments:

You're a lot like I used to be. Really technical, and it costs you lives a lot. Whenever that happens to people at tournaments we call it "pulling a Grmo", but don't worry about it. There are always consequences for doing stuff, so don't try to slow down your playing (which people will most likely tell you to do). Just keep playing and with practice and time, you'll gain control. I'm not going to rate your fox because I don't know what you want me to compare it to. Standards are high. Anyway, keep practicing, watch your opponent, and a few minutes of tech practice every day might not hurt either. Consider this advice for when Brawl comes out.

I would disagree. At pro-am levels, Fox dominates falcon, and at highest levels, he continues to do so. Spacies are probably why Falcons don't win huge tournaments.

I know it's not like a book; "omfg how'd you lose to SS!? YOU'RE FOX!" but in a general rule of thumb, that's what happens. Character physics and character meta-game secure this.

:) --- :D --- =) --- =D

I watched Fox vs Marth on Yoshi's.

First off, I want to say that you're doing a good job getting your main gameplay down. That aside, there are some less defined areas, just like everyone else.

#1. When recovering against marth, if you have a chance to not get ***** by fsmash, go above him. Just like this video shows, going below will not really help you, despite your teching ability.

You could have walltech-jumped (by holding up after the tech) and immediately illusioned. This catches as lot of people off guard. Alternatively, you could tech-> instant illusion, and this makes it so you have invincibility frames til you have the ledge, and he cannot continue to edgeguard you. You could also tech->bair. I'm a Marth/Fox main, and it really pisses me off when a Fox firefoxes right over me and I miss my fsmash. Do it more often.

#2. Dash dance a lot. It's really important against Marth, and you can bet he'll try to do it to you. You want a grab against marth. Upthrow upair ***** him, and if he starts learning to SDI it, uthrow bair -> edgeguard.

#3. Make him fear getting shined. If you're hanging on the edge, and he Fwd+b anywhere near you, he should be dead. Just make him scared to recover. You could also use the lightshield edgehog.

#4. Camp on platforms, jumping from one to another. Then come in with an attack, and do it again. If you get good at it, it's really annoying.

#5. He was doing lots of moves. Run in, shield, and try for a shieldgrab. If when you run in and shield, it looks like he is going to try to grab you, nair through him. Alternatively, you could run in, shield, and dash attack. Dash attack is way too good against Marth, and I don't remember you using it.

=O crap I'mma miss my bus. Hope this helped/wasn't annoying.

I know, but that doesn't mean consistency.

PS. lmao we have the same avatar

fox counters falcon. its a fact. falcon gets ***** by everything fox loves to do, and while falcon can gay fox a bit, if fox gets hit ever its his mistakes because he out prioritizes everything falcon has.

We're gonna record a bunch more tonight, so we should have ten-ish videos worth showing.

I'm pretty sure I got the short hop down. >_>

I usually use the full jump to mix it up a bit so I'm not THAT predictable.

EDIT: Just watched the first new vid and I see where you would get that. I did a fair amount of full jumps there.

the match vs you and the falcon on PK stadium
for fox:
SHFFL nairs to shines.
SHB bait dont let falcon dashdance
you call upthrow to uptilt or to an upsmash at low percentages
at mid percentages if you mange to get a upthrow uptilt u can upsmash its consecutive

for the falcon:
do alot more well spaced nairs
nice tech chasing
try to sneak in a few raptor boost
chain grab at like 60%
dont miss stomp knee's
upthrow to fsmash at 100%+
dashdance more
use wavedashing to space yourself and your aireals

you seem to just try and overwhelm your opponent with tech skill.

learn safer ways to approach and you'll prob do a lot better

You also need to laser more. The few times that you did laser were sloppy as well, minus one or two here and there.

you di his cg all wrong, di slightly behind him(so u can have a chance he messes up a pivot grab) or di up(so u can jump/shine out before he can grab again) to have a better chance of getting out, not right in front of him being all like "Oh yea so I'm gonna go ahead and di forward after his uthrow so he can just walk and use his gay reach and grab me again like a douche".
