Fighting-types seem to put a pretty noticeable dent in most of your team. :urg:.

Houndoom's nature should be Timid. Replace Roar with HP Grass.

I would recommend Nasty Plot Spiritomb over Alakazam. And If you're keeping him, do not put a Choice Scarf on him. I presume you meant Specs instead ;).

Spiritomb @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 200 S.Atk / 52 S.Def
Modest Nature
~ Nasty Plot / Calm Mind
~ Shadow Ball
~ HP Fighting
~ Will - o - Wisp / Pain Split

I would also replace Shadow Claw with Dragon Dance on Feraligatr. He's got a nice bulk so it'll usually be enough to get one off. Give him Leftovers too. While on that point, replace Avalanche with Ice Punch since he'll be going first anyways with a DD. And if you need a priority move, I'd go with CB Azumarill. Otherwise, replace Aqua Jet with Waterfall. And a better spread would be 28 HP/ 252 Atk / 228 Spd.

I would put Toxic over T Wave on Registeel because he bring in ground-types. And 252 HP/ 252 S.Def / 6 Atk is a better spread. Iron Head over Substitute.

Payback>>Feint Attack on Umbreon.

Hope I didn't leave anything out. When I was doing my first team I was wondering why I couldn't have 2 of the same species of Pokemon on the same team, so you're lightyears ahead than what I was :mad088: :mad088:

I made a long post earlier but Firefox ate it.

I agree with most of what Megalomaniac said, just a few additional things.

Hyper Beam is a bad attack on Houndoom and you can do much better. Flamethrower or Pursuit are both good options for it.

Substitute+Moonlight is not as reliable as Wish+Protect on Umbreon, so you should switch it out. This will be better for your team overall to help your sweepers and walls come in on entry hazards, which you have no answer to.

For coverage purposes, Waterfall+Ice Punch+Earthquake is the best way to go for DD Feraligatr. Very few things are fully resistant to this typing combination and the amount of things it deals super effective damage to are many. Crunch is not needed since your team's main weakness is fighting types, not Psychics or Ghosts. For the item, you're also going to want to go with Life Orb instead of Mystic Water so that you can boost all your attacks instead of just the one you already have a STAB on.

X-Scissor is pointless on Drapion. The combination of Cross Poison and Night Slash already provide the same coverage. Swords Dance will be better overall for the set. And you want Adamant nature, not Lonely. One of Drapion's advantages is that he's somewhat bulky, so taking this away is counter-intuitive.

For Registeel, in addition to the changes that Megalomaniac suggested, you want to put in Stealth Rock over Seismic Toss. Your team desperately wants entry hazards to support its sweepers.

If you insist on keeping Alakazam, use Trick instead of Seismic Toss and HP Fire or Shadow Ball instead of Energy Ball. The former will screw over special walls who try to switch into you while the latter will deal with Grass or Ghost types respectively. And get rid of that stupid EV spread. If you didn't know, 4 EVs = 1 point in the stat, so only having 1 EV in something is pointless.

I decided to re think my whole team, this team is a hel! of a lot better. Thank you for previous comments

FleshFire (Houndoom) (F) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Spd/252 SAtk/6 SDef
Hasty nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Dark Pulse
- Heat Wave
- Will-o-wisp
- Taunt

Dark pulse and Heat Wave just play off STAB's, Taunt for any SR'ers and will-o-wisp for flavor.
---
Mark (Vigoroth) (M) @ Liechi Berry
Ability: Vital Spirit
EVs: 252 Atk/6 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Thunderpunch
- Ice Punch
- Substitute
- Focus Punch

eats anything that wants to put me to sleep, ice punch/thunderpunch for a Boltbeam combo, and Subpunching too. Hopefully I can do enough subsituting to activate m berriy for added bang.
---
Negitive Space (Spiritomb) (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/6 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Trick
- Shadow Sneak
- Confuse Ray
- Pursuit

Switch into fighting types who may threaten houndoom if he is alive, can trick away his item if nessacary, but keeps it for a boost too.

---
Midas (Mesprit) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 16 HP/242 Spd/252 SAtk
Lonely nature (+Atk, -Def)
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Psychic
- Trick

I think this came from smogon, useful to come in a EQ that registeel may face, can also trick the opposite scarf of spiritomb if necessary
---
Avacado (Registeel) @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP/58 Atk/200 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Thunder Wave
- Explosion
- Earthquake
- Stealth Rock

Special Wall, also sets up SR mid game, witch is surprisingly useful, explode if feeling the pressure
---
OrangeRind (Donphan) (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 52 HP/252 Atk/206 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Assurance
- Rapid Spin
- Earthquake
- Thunder Fang

Rapid spiner+electric absorb

Better team? Suggestions to make it even better?

Donphan needs Ice Fang instead of Thunder Fang, otherwise Altaria just switches in and sets up in your face.

Earthquake on Registeel does about nothing, except for catching Magneton switch-ins. Unless you really need it for that reason, go with Seismic Toss instead.

Just curious as to why you're using Vigoroth instead of the more fearsome sweepers like Moltres, Venusaur, or Feraligatr. If you desparately need a sleep absorber, use Primeape or something.

-Ice fang sounds good, I just kind went filler on that moveslot

-I use earthquake because I got stalled out by a Spiritomb once (it was our last Pokemon), Also I have some EV's invested in attack so I thought I could do some decent damage, but I got stalled out by Milotic with EQ, so I don't know witch situation will happen more often.

-I like Vigoroth, had him in emerald and he kind grew on me. Just kind of a quirk

Edit, Ice Fang isn't listed on my list in standard metagame or Smogon metagame

Primeape, Kangaskhan, and Zangoose run that Vigoroth set much better.

Why roar on houndoom?? Oh and i used to play feraligatr a lot and the best set i can find is (dragon dance, earthquake, waterfall, ice punch) I really do think that if you put that set in your team it will make a difference. Also a persian with hypnosis, nasty plot, swift, water pulse would work out nice. (Wide lens on persian)

A couple of suggestions:

-run Modest or Timid on your Mesprit. Lonely really doesn't help it with that moveset
-use Ice Shard over Thunder Fang for priority. Thunder Fang isn't doing much to Bulky Waters anyways.
-Sucker Punch over Confuse Ray on Spiritomb. For one, it hits harder if the opponent attacks you, and it can force your opponent into a mindgame of whether or not your going to use Sucker Punch or Pursuit.
-I, for one, personally dislike Explosion on Registeel, because if your using Registeel, he should be attempting to last throughout the match. If you find it works for you, keep it I guess, but I would personally recommend an attacking combo of Seismic Toss + Iron Head/Shadow Claw.
-Vigoroth just isn't that great. For the role you're using him in, Primeape would simply work better.

inb4 Registeel, Chansey and Milotic.

Seriously, I don't see how that could sweep a team. Why someone would let you get 2 Nasty Plots off in the first place is beyond me. Plus, against the aforementioned walls, you don't even 2KO any of them after a Nasty Plot. That's pretty underwhelming IMO.

Oops, i forgot i took off wide lens and put on life orb. Plus after hypnosis you get a free nasty plot in and if they stay in i normally use another nasty plot then start sweeping. (this is for mid game when all of there pokemon have already taken a little bit of damage already.) Or at least 3-6 of there pokemon have been damaged. Plus spikes or SR really help out.

I dunno, if one of my Pokemon get slept, I'd rather switch to something that can take a guaranteed hit, which Registeel is included in. And, uh, if you're going to be special sweeping mid game, why wouldn't you use something like Mismagius, or if you want to go into less used Pokes, Ninetales? They easily have a higher base special attack stat than Persian, and set up exactly like him. I hate the argument that "this is viable as a sweeper cause if I have 3 layers of spikes up and Stealth Rock up, in mid game, with x amount of Pokemon dead and y amount of Pokemon weakened, I can sweep!"as that is a rather flawed way of saying something is viable. Almost anything can be classified as viable if this was the case.
