Anyone think that this stage should return as a past stage? i'm pretty sure it was tournament legal so i think that i would be a good addition for brawl. Mainly what i enjoyed about this stage was that it was constantly moving and there were plenty of platforms. What do ya think?

I wasn't a big fan of Rainbow cruise or the Ice Climber stage. Reason being is that it went by just a bit too fast to enjoy some of the obstacles around you.

Really? i think that it moves at just the right speed. IMO, if it moved any slower it would make the battle boring and not as challenging. (i hated the ice climbers stage btw)

i hate stages that move like this and icicle mountain. it becomes a matter of not falling off rather than fighting. but anyway, it should return as a past stage

if you're a n00b player then it becomes a matter of not falling off rather than fighting;). i mean come on, it's really not that hard to avoid falling with all of the platforms that there are. sure, they'll eventually disappear but there's always going to be something else for you to get on.

No. Just...no. I hate moving stages. You can barely even concentrate on the fight. A good Melee Past Stage IMO would be either Brinstar (DEFINITELY not Depths!) or Kongo Jungle.

This stage is number one on my "Kill the Smash Brothers developer who made this stage" list, with Icicle Mountain following closely behind.

Alright...I will admit. Mute City is the ONLY moving stage I like. The music is awesome and there's barely any obstacles. Plus, the speed of the stage is amazing.

Bah, the only one that sucks is Icicle mountain, thats why its banned, for sucking and being really boring and lame.

Cruise is fantastic fun, try a teams match or ffa there... and pokefloats is a great 1v1 stage when you've mastered most of the advanced moves in the game, crazy possibilities on that stage and wacky mindgames.

And a glitchy seal :)

Only if "turn off on random" is preunlocked.
Personally I don't like this stage, but I can respect others opinions.

Me and my friends quit whenever we play on Icicle Mountain, Big Blue and Rainbow Cruise. It's not that the side-scrolling takes away from them. They could be alot better if they weren't just a bunch of little platforms.

For example Big Blue would be alot better if it had moving ships under it all the time. I envision Big Blue would be better pretty much with Big Blue being as big as Corneria and just adding a fast moving race under that you could fall on but can't sit long b/c the cars are fast moving.

Icicle mountain is a cool concept, but just doesn't do nething for me. And Rainbow Cruise was one of if not my least fav. stage ever from SSB and SSBM. It just seems they added another Mario Bros. Board just to add it. I mean besides the Background it's not really a Mario board. It probably could pass for a Kirby board if the background was changed to Kirby's cloud boards, or Kirby's Island's he travelled through in his 1P games.

Me! I don't, but I know it'll be in there anyway. ;)

But back on topic, I really enjoy the moving stages (with the exception of Pokefloats), they give a nice change of pace. I would like to see Rainbow Cruise return, though it would be nice if it were slowed down just a tad bit so that we could enjoy a little more battling on the various terrains before having to leave them immediately. That or give it a few stopping points like Mute City where the scrolling would stop for a while and then start again (some good places would be the platforms right after the ship, the pendulum area and one of the sections in the long stretch right before it moves back down to the ship).

i guess stopping points wouldn't be too bad. but if Rainbow Cruise does return, i don't think that there will be any changes made to the stage..

Hi Kaento :chuckle:!

Rainbow Cruise was a visually appealing to me. I don't mind if a similar stage in Super Mario Galaxy style came out. Maybe a space ship instead of a cruise? I don't know.
sup lukintosh! wow, i never thought of that. A souped up mario galaxy style of rainbow cruise would be amazing. I actually think there may be a chance of that happening over this stage being a past stage for brawl:)

Okay, let me get my two cents worth into this topic. First of all, Rainbow Cruise
wasn't that bad of a stage. 1) It was a selectable counter-pick stage for tournaments.
2) Like Poke Floats[which was also a counter-pick stage], these stages have the same pattern every time. What this means is you know what to expect next, so theres no johning.

Oh and Icicle Mountain, I'll grant it wasn't a great fighting stage. Although, I love pulling stuff off there and the extra song was nice....thats all I have to say..granting that everyone has their opinions on stages.

I'm fine with there being the same pattern all of the time but if it was always something different, that would certainly make this stage much better than it already is. Maybe that could be a new feature added to this stage if it were to be remade in a mario galaxy style like lukin said:)

_____I hope it returns, maybe revamped, but still with a set course. I like the fact you had to stay moving, and fight for good spots. It lets your character stand out, because the areas you can abuse their individual characteristics in. But I would hate it if they made something like this, but they made to much random. Call me crazy, but I hate it when I get my falco smashed away and the stage seems to run away from me.
