I'm guessing the answer is no...but is it possible to turn the c-stick on during training mode? I want to practice my SHFFL with it when I have no one to play with. I'm kind of stumped on why the c-stick wouldn't work in training mode.

Montreal. PM me if you're on the island! I need op
Nope, it's not possible. Pretty stupid that it's not, but I guess Nintendo didn't realize that almost everyone would rely on it so heavily (with the exception of Isai. Too good).

Practice in endless melees with a level 1 on, and just shffl different aerials on it repeatedly. Don't practice empty shffls, or you'll learn the wrong timing for it. Do it on the CPU. Hell, if you want, make it a human Bowser, make it perma-crouch cancel, turn the damage ratio to 0.5 and give it a 9 handicap, you with a 1 handicap. It won't budge for about 500% damage. Just shffl at your leasure.

This should be in general discussion btw, not the Falcon Boards. Also, you probably could've found the answer by searching for it.

Wow, that's pretty creative, you have quite an imaginitive mind but at the same time that is going to work so great. Thanks.

C-stick isn't that good, just practice A-smashing because it will help a lot in the long run

c-sticking is much quicker though, i found that out when i was using marth for a while. And some thing just aren't possible like spiking with falcon's dair and recovering back. And it's just easier to c-stick your fairs and bairs and uairs.

How is it going to help me in the long run?

C-stick actually is slower overall. For a uair it is really slow. For anything it is slower, than the faster way.

C-Sticking and using A are exactly the same, its a matter of preference and comfort.
C-stick, i would suggest using it, because most people just flick a knob over and get back to other buttons quicker than doing the same except pushing a button.

you can spike and recover you just have to tilt down instead of smash down, he wont fast fall if you do it this way.

c-stick is the weakest form of smash attacks. Holding A for that extra few frames may be the difference between the winner of a match.

^^--- thats how it helps in the long run.

the odds of charging a smash for a few more frames to change a match are so small...
i use c-stick fsmashing because its more reliant. it takes more time to reach the stick, but you dont have any wasted charging frames and you dont risk dash attacking or something
for aerials... its slower but gives you more control and spacing abillties. you also dont risk fast falling\double jumping

Yeah but for example marth, if you c-stick his forward smash then it will be faster and sometimes you need those few frames to beat your opponent to the punch. I think it's better for spiking cause even though you could do it as valley said, there's always that risk of FFing and not being able to recover.

Most of Falcon's smashes have a windup so you don't have to worry about charging them. Most aerials you should c-stick so you can DI yourself in whatever direction you want, but you have to get really good at jumping and then c-sticking immediately.
