It's possible to DI out of it. And you can smash DI the uair at any percent, so if who you are playing does so, it won't connect too often. I suggest you switch to bairs if that's the case.

Ah, the dreaded 'OMG the marth got out of my up throw' @_@;

Anyway... usually, if the marth DIs out of the throw, I will either try to follow up with it (if I have a good lead, and can afford the miss), or if I want to play it safe, go with the b-air.

Either way is good, but learning to connect against a DIed Marth is very useful.

At higher %'s just try to hit with the second hit of the uair.
At low ones, do it better or something lol. Then laser and stuff.

At very low percents I find it better to not just uair the usual way. Instead you can use very weak aerials to keep him in hitstun as he falls. It forces him close to the ground where you can utilt, usmash, or possibly grab him again. The front end of the bair and more rarely the fair can do this.

If you're good enough at following DI and can time it right, you can actually hit him with only the first hit of the uair, which can have some very surprising results. I know the vid isn't the best quality but check it out around 0:40

C-stick is generally easier, especially in a shffl, but sometimes A or even Z fits in better. I'd recommend being prepared to use either so you can go with whatever feels right in any given situation.
