I was using DK and G&W casually (obviously using RAR's frequently), and I realized that I never considered trying to RAR with Meta Knight. This led to this question...
Which hitbox is longer/bigger, the bair's hitbox, or the fair's hitbox? The bair looks longer, but I'm just not positive.
I was thinking that if the bair's hitbox is larger than the fair's, then it might be beneficial sometimes to use a RAR'ed bair instead of a fair in certain situations. It would be hard to pressure with RAR'ed bairs, but I believe that if the bair's hitbox is larger, it could find its uses.
Overall, I was also wondering what your guys' opinions on the usefulness of RARing with MK are (these opinions could be affected/changed if we figure out/know which hitbox is larger, obviously).
On a side note, the bair's 3 slashes take longer to complete than the fair's slashes, which might help with airdodgers...? I'm just throwing out ideas that I've had for a while.
I'm sorry if the answer to the former of my two questions has already been answered in some thread, but I couldn't find anything regarding hitboxes here with a quick search. I'm also sorry if RARing is already a common practice amongst some MK's, but I have watched a reasonable amount of MK vids, and I don't really see anyone RARing at all, so I wanted to delve deeper into this topic.
