Proof of Snake using grenades

Please see pics below. After upgrading to a better media player, that allowed me to see all frames of a steaming video, I was able to capture the mystery of Snake using grenades.

This pose that Snake is in confused a lot of people. It appears that Snake just threw something downward onto Pit. In fact, Pit hit Snake with a U-Air causing Snake to flinch into this weird position.

The grenade continues to fall until it hits Pit and Snake jumps away.

While this has been noted before, nice job. You have the clearest pics anyone has ever achieved, and you made a brand new observation with Pit attacking Snake from underneath which is why he moves jerky in that one part...

Something tells me that these explosives are in a beta stage when it comes to shape. They seem a bit small and simple to be the final form of them. They also seem to keep the grenades well hidden from view when they show them both times (in this scene and in the Halberd scene)...

in the Halberd scene...
If you mean the bit right at the end of trailer 2 (before Fox) then it's no 'nade, it's part of the ship.

I have to congratulate you though, that is brilliant "camera work," someone mentioned this scene not long ago and I tried to check it out and couldn't work out at all what it was, thought Snake did his missile on the ground, ddidn't think it'd be pit attacking.

Nice job on the pics... I pretty much figured it had to be a grenade of some sort after watching it many times, but never managed to catch a glimpse of it. Certainly makes sense.

Those are REALLY clear pics o_O

VERY nice. I'm going to assume it's like peach's turnips, since it looks like he simply dropped it bc he was hit or something.

I found this out at LEAST 4 months ago. Right after the series of pictures you show Pit gets engulfed in the infamous "purple flames" too. I put the trailer on movie maker and went through frame by frame. Snake definitely throws a grenade downwards into Pit. I'm 90% sure it works like Peach's turnips because he's holding it at some point and then throws it.

Actually for it to work like it does in the pics he throws it upwards.

I thought I might as well resurrect this thread since it is basically like a mini update on the DOJO

er.. it looks more like an environmental hazard to me.. I don't see Snake throwing that object that is *higher* than him o.O All the platforms in that arena start to break apart, are you sure those 'grenades' aren't just cannonballs of sortst hat fall out of the sky to break the platforms?

That's so sick. I wonder if it's a vB like samus' bombs or link's bombs.
Snake is going to have powerfull attacks, considering the rocket launcher plus grenades.
I just hope he doesn't lag hard like captain falcon.

Btw, character forum next time.

Props for Gumshoe Nuro.

Snake looks like he's going to be another fun character to play with. He doesn't seem the broken type, in fact he looks like he can be good if played correct, but only time can tell this thingy.

And sillies, Cannonballs don't fall from the sky, it's obviously left shoes from people who have lost them in the Korean War. Jeeze people...

Nice finding! When i saw the video i thought that pit destroys the platform with the U-Air not with a Snake's Granade!

Sweet!
