Project S.P.I.K.E.(Spike Properties Identified for Killer Edgeguarding)
The purpose of this is to document every single attack in Brawl that sends the opponent at a downward trajectory. If you are like me, looking everywhere for new spikes is very boring, so if you find a new one, post it here. Here are the rules. 1. It can be done by a character, pokemon, item, assist trophy, or stage hazard. 2. It has to be done on a Jigglypuff in midair at 999% at 1\4th speed to make sure that the variable of falling speed doesn't skew the results. 3. the properties of the spike must be identified. that means what part of the attack actually spikes. Or, for psuedo-spikes, about what angle it sends the foe at. I will update the list often. It may sound tedious, but remember, it's for the good of the smash community!;)
P.S. "wimpy spikes" are attacks that only stun, but have no knockback, thus making the opponent fall to their doom. There will be annother list for these.

Marth Dair

on tip of sword, near the back bottom, won't work in the front (of direction facing). Enemies go straight down, not at an angle like in melee

(note: i havent tested these, though im mostly certian they all spike)
Ike's dair - entire hitbox
pit's dtilt - middle of blade, good edgeguard(?)
olimar's dair - directly below him, though requires either a purple or a red to work
tlink's dair, but they have to be immediately below you. once he's moving full speed its not a spike any more
peach's fair may still be a spike (i think it was in melee too)
sonics dair does a wimpy spike, i think.
-these are all i can toss off the top of my head for now, ive also heard oli's up b spikes (off the ground?), but have yet to see it.

Zamus dair

If I remember correctly it only spikes if you hit them with her foot

Note: Zamus dies first if you try to use it for suicide strike.

Would you consider ganondorfs side B a spike, or just a crazy suicide attack?

Lucas

dair - 4th hit, not very strong at low percents.
bair - Lucas does a flip. if you hit with the last 4th of it (coming down at the end) it spikes and is very powerful.

Ganon's dair seems like a meteor, I just dont have an idea what are the exact frames.

Falcon's dair is a spike, its just that if you dont hit the opponent with his foot(?), it sends them upward.

I think it would also be worthwhile to test to see if it is a spike or a meteor, because to my knowledge, there are only meteors in this game.

Kirby's dash A will spike an opponent downwards if they're hanging on the edge (and have run out of invincibilty frames obviously).

Ness' dair early sweetspot below him.
Late sweetspot above him sends foes sideways.

Tail of PK Thunder is a wimpy spike.

I heard Sonic's spring UP B can spike if timed properly. (Hit them with spring) diddy's and wolf's DAIRS seems to spike

Wolf's side B can spike (if timed right GL with that:lick:) Along with falco's side B

only real way ive found to do these (without killing yourself) play on bridge of eldin and intercept over the pit, or knock them off the side and chase them by jumping backwards and hope that they end in front of you and you can intercept

GL with that:chuckle:

one other thing Snakes Fair can spike and mario's fair is pretty close

Charizards Dair spikes, but hsa a pretty small hitbox. Ivysaur alos has a spike, Dair, but it has the be hit close the the bulb, otherwise it'll just hit the opponent upwards

Mew2King said that he meteor canceled Marth's Dair when doing tests.
So meteor cancelling does exist, then. Instead of just calling everything a 'spike', can we see which ones are actually spikes and which ones are actually meteors?

Therefore, all character spikes/meteors do not count.

Some of the posts are unclear. Tell me what those "awkward conditions" are for sonic's sideB. EB360, did you test that at 999 damage? We need specific data here! Especially concerning whether something is a spike, meteor,or psuedo-spike.
Edit: To Annoying, that was an accident. I thought that it was a given that character attacks would be included as well. Oops.:embarrass

Fox's first hit on his dair sends them down. Not sure of its killing potential though. Don't have the game so I can't test it now.
