So just a question about bones in BBox. is TransN the bone that controls the position of the whole character relative to X Y Z coordinates. /does it control all other bones?

I believe that TransN sets the position of the character along the X, Y, and Z axis, but I'm not entirely certain. SDoom or really anyone remotely versed in BBox animating could tell you.

Yep, TransN bone is what allows a character to move and yes it is one of the bones that controls the other bones along with the XRotN, YRotN, HipN and TopN (a bone that is never used or tocuhed).

Any large changes to Pikachu or Luigi?

I saw Luigi's down b propelling him a great deal higher, but other than that?

And Pikachu got n64 bair and kept QAC from Brawl, right?

How well do both of them fare? I rarely see them on streams. Are there not enough playtesters for those two?

One change I would suggest to luigi is give his UpB his 64 trajectory, ala marios, but in the mean time half the height that his downB gives.

Going back to conversation of too many characters having too good of recoveries. Luigi being able to do the reverse Hyrule Jump because of the height his downB gives is a bit excessive IMO.

With his 64 upB at least luigi would have a bit more flexibility in the way he recovers, because lets face it Mario's upB is infinatly better then Luigi's for recovery purposes. He could sweetspot the edge, or decide to land onstage, plus it can ride up walls, something his current upB doesn't allow without great punishment. But it wouldn't be ridicoulously good because luigi's recovery as a whole would still be predictable.

sideB - DJ - half height DownB - 64 UpB I believe is more flexible and reasonable in a melee enviroment then: sideB -DJ - DownB that goes the height of most stages - sideB - upB(if you even need to use it)

I dunno my opinion *shrugs*

ALso thx SDo0m that helps me alot.

Pikachu is pretty much almost done; he still has some stuff to be worked on which I won't be going into details about. His QAC works a bit differently now. It's not as "easy". Strong Bad and I play Pikachu but we don't stream much.

Wrong. I'm BAD at luigi's recovery and get distances in that ballpark. People (Boss *cough*) who can actually mash get higher distance than I do without expending their second jump first to get the added boost.

On Luigi's recovery in general - yeah distance wise it's amazing, but it's still pretty easy to edge guard, and honestly his recovery in melee was so godawful he could use the buff.

I think a mario style upB is more of a buff then the extra height down B gives. The Vertical height doesnt help the problem of luigi having horrible options of grabbing the ledge.

Unless sideB snapped to the ledge, which could also be a substancial buff.

At least Luigi's special fall has horizontal air speed. Holy hell, you could not move after Up B in Melee with Luigi. It was as bad as Zelda's.

Stuff like character discussion, metagame discussion, dropping new bits of info (maybe. gotta get the okay first), player opinions, viewer opinions, theorysmash, what would like to be seen, what would like to be changed, what would like to be taken away.

So i'm thinking about starting up a podcast for P:M.

Project: Podcast if you will.

Thoughts?
I'm down for this as long as the podcaster is rational. I have a fear that this will be more like bashing fan outcry and than actually being a medium between the devs and the players.

...Why would PMBR make a podcast just to make fun of its fans? Like, I can't grasp the rationale for this fear.

My bedtime's at 12/24/2011, 2359, but I'm pretty sure that everyone else has a later bedtime. Besides, if it's no strain on you, we'd love to hear some intellectual P:M talk that isn't from Vig or in the form on single-line, swag-esque posts.

A pilot swagcast with you -- and only you -- would also help determine whether or not it'll be worth it in the long run.

I dont mind talking with the chat.

What I can do is just set and outline, give my opinions and thoughts on each subject, see what people have to say, respond to that and move on, down the outline, then after that, I'll take questions from people and give opinions/answers and repeat that part until time is up. :V

I do warn, that what everyone will hear from me is vastly different from my normal streams, simply because I put on a show for entertainment there.

But yeah. If you dont mind a late night podcast, I can do one around 1000-1030ish. It's just up to everyone else.

Nah. I'mma change the name. Project: Podcast sounds too official or that it's endorsed by the BR.

So I'll be changing it to "Project :V" or PV for short.
