Luckily it was just the disk, still bull**** tho

Anywho, in cooler news, SG got 60 entrants last night. Are there other weeklies that average over 55 entrants a week?
Are you going to USB load? If someone stole that it'd still be possibly cheaper than a used Brawl disk (slickdeals.net)

So a couple of friends and I might be going to CEO. He asked me if there's anyone noteworthy/famous attending either of the smash tournaments there, and I honestly don't know. Can anybody fill me in?
It's not confirmed yet, but I hear that THE Tink-er in the Kitchen may be going.

One thing to know about big tourneys. IT's not a big tourney unless someone stuff gets stolen or they forget something. It's sucks but it happens alot. Always keep tabs on your stuff.

I don't even get how that can happen (let lone why)... There's ****ing pools, every TV is supposed to be in use, and I'm sure they assigned it at the beginning of the night. How can someone remove a disc from an active TV and put us down a setup without being caught? And how could nobody notice that it was missing when people were playing on that TV earlier in the night? How could not a single person in the store say "hey, what happened to this disc that we're supposed to be playing on" until hours later when the owner himself goes to check up on it?

Argh, my head.
Just wanted to clarify some things.

Firstly, its really really hard to keep track of things at SG because we run two events and therefore discs are moved, removed, changed, and replaced. In addition, we had quite a few situatoins of Wiis not working and actually there was a brawl disk left on a TV that MAY have been Joes!. Someone could have removed it and put it n that Wii because Joe's System froze, or for some other reason. In fact, I'm 99% sure this happened because I remember our pool started using Joe's TV one moment, and next moment we were on another TV and the team leader said "our Wii over there was crashing". Regardless, seeing a TV off that was formerly assigned to a pool at a 60 person weekly isn't unusual because a lot of TVs were malfunctioning. When I see that as the TO, I presume its because there is some problem I don't have the time to solve if i am to stick to my schedule.

Second, the problem wasn't observed "only at the end when the store owner came by". Rather, I went TO the store owner to let him know what happened, and he was kind enough to offer Joe! a extra disk.

It is on all of us to try and be lookouts for this behavior to be avoided (i personally recommend people putting a small piece of masking tape on their disks with their initials on it). Regardless, I hope this doesn't create doubt for people to bring in their setups because we need all of the (store and volunteer) setups we can get.

The go to failsafe is to ask for a label, write your name on it, and cover your disk tray with it.

I got my last final in an hour and a half. Gonna be the most difficult one.

I have to eat other people's food and watch performances. Wish me luck. :_;

#TheStruggleIsReal
I'm back.

Everyone was being modest and was like "Oh I'll just take a bit" and left that food there.

SHIETTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT. I'd be DAMNED if I was gonna let all that hard cooked and bought food go to waste.

Let's see what I nabbed to take home....
6 Caprisun
4 Soda's
5 snickerdoodle cookies
10 misc cookies
Half tin of pringles
Handful of lays bbq chips.
Cheese, pepperoni, and crackers. Enough to make like 20 cracker sandwiches
Teriyaki Chicken. Probably about the amount you get in a small bowl.
Alberson's chicken. 3 pieces or so.
3 Donuts
a piece of pizza.

I probably won't even eat half of this.

--------------------
As for the performances. Normally I don't talk about them since they are all sub-par because it is a beginning acting class, but one actually stood out.
Like they actually put a lot of work into it.

Really good scene.

Essentially a fight between the sun and moon god, moon god whining because everyone loves the sun while they ignore the moon. Had some wooden swords and fought it out. Good lines, no missed beats. The fight looked as real as acting can get.

10/10 It was the best thing I've seen all year.

That's dirty yo.

I'd be willing to trust almost everyone in the social thread.

almost.

Never trust me.

My friend just brought up trying to get another white controller so he could get HBox, M2K, and Mango to sign it, and I immediately declared I would steal it.

I didn't say the store owner, I meant the owner of the disc, as Joe was the one who first started looking for it when he realized that it wasn't in his Wii (as mentioned before, if anyone else noticed it earlier, they may not have thought that anything was unusual since we do move setups sometimes).

Still, if someone was simply moving a disc out of a frozen Wii or something, you'd think at the very least that they would keep track of where they put it. I mean, even if it were the store's copy, they should be giving it back to AOI to put with the rest of the store's property, not leaving it on a random table or pocketing it.

Why is the Moon avatar always placed as the bad guy when fighting the Sun over petty jealousy?

Moon is so much more relaxed and cool than the Sun is so I don't buy it.

You won't hear any disagreements from me. It's frustrating. But this is the same place where people who have come every week STILL come up to me and try to hand me registration money when I'm nowhere close to registering, or fail to listen for their TVs when its been repeated 5 times and they've been told to listen for it (and I see them standing right there, in listening range). This is the same place where people still bounce to go eat when they are 1 of 4 or 5 players left in the tourney (without notifying anyone). The way to stop well intentioned fools is to be proactive...I recommend people who bring setups to write their names on a label sticker (provided by the front counter) and to place said label across their disk ray. This acts as a "do not cross" line that most players will respect.

The sun and moon are fighting so we have to summon Nova, go do it while I watch and then steal the wish later.

I doubt it although Mango has a better shot than M2K to show up personally. Also I played Brawl Online today cause wi-fi is shutting off holy hell it's still trash.

I was on irc when dkuo just popped in all of a sudden. He didn't even say hello. He just dropped the link and said "KayB, you have to watch this" and I'm like "lol okay" and after the first ten seconds of the video...
