I miss the days of the lead metagame. It was really among my favorite parts of competitive Pokemon, and among the reasons, perhaps the chief, I never got into Gen V competitively.

Is Mewtwo gonna be in this?
The Project M Back Room has taken the stance that no Melee characters will return unless they can be seamlessly added without replacing any character as well as have their own Character Select icon. Not much progress has been made on that front, but rest assured that we’re probably more eager to add Mewtwo than you are to play him in a new game.

Orange Islands don't count for much Ketchum, you stink. Characters you run across again after many seasons should ask you how you've progressed, and then an awkward silence should follow.

Am I the only one who liked Sunny Day? I don't really play hardcore competitive pokemon, or really play it at all, but I've thought about what I'd do if I did before. I'd make a Sunny Day team with Fire and Grass types and such to gain benefit. Mostly because I thought I could come up with something functional, but I don't see it, but I often see Rain and Sandstorm.

You mean like the Mega Charizard Y that they revealed 2 months ago?

Mega X is far more interesting than the Mega Y, and at the time they just called it Mega Zard so you had no idea they were dividing them up. Y looks cool, but it's typing will probably prevent it from being any good, just like the normal Zard's typing. X had the /Dragon that many had been waiting for.

I disagree. So far I prefer the more common Pokemon types in Y as well as the exclusive MegaEvolvs so far for Y over X.

I agree with 9K that the X Dragon looks like bad fanart, and so does that weird Freiza Fighting Mewtwo.

The Y "Awakening" form actually looks like a form closer to Mew, the purer genetic data coming to the surface.

My gripes with Mega Zard X are mostly because X got the /Dragon and we Y players are stuck with the same terrible Fire/Flying typing.

While I do prefer the appearance of Mewtwo Y, the Psychic/Fighting typing is definitely more interesting to me than the plain mono-typed Psychic. I'm probably a little biased here as many of my favorite Pokemon have /Fighting type.

The only thing wrong with Charizard X is that weird flame-ribbon-mustache. It'd look a hell of a lot cooler if it came from his mouth, as if he literally has so much power that he can't suppress his flames.

Drought is not bad, it's a potent weather condition in its own right. It's just that Ninetales doesn't pull it's weight well enough for the rest of its team compared to T-tar, Hippo, and Toed. It's pretty much there to set up the sun and that's it, and it needs specialized teammates for support. It's also weak to Stealth Rock. Abomasnow is too, but it kinda catches a break because T-tar, Hippo, and Politoed don't enjoy taking a STAB Wood Hammer to the face, whereas Ninetales doesn't really have much to threaten them with.
