So I'm just fooling around in training mode cause I get bored of practicing tech real fast.

While trying to see if Olimar Up throw chaingrabs are a thing (regardless of Pikmin), I wonder why the PMDT never added DI options or tech left/normal/right/random for the CPU. Like, I know I technically could grab my second controller and do so, but then things get especially tricky when trying to test if Dtilt can connect after an Up throw at 0. I have to input the throw while holding the control stick of the second controller for DI, wait until the grab releases and then grab my other controller to input dtilt (cause I use smash cstick) within 15~ frames. I'm not plate and even if I was, I don't think it's physically possible to move your hand in that time from one controller to the other. Granted I can use cstick set to attack for this, but then I'd have to switch it back to normal when trying out smashes for follow ups after throws.

It'd make debug mode all the more potent, especially for those without (close by) friends. But dreams will stay dreams, I guess.

^ Probably because Brawl engine modding is hell and it'd take a lot of work.

I'm probably addicted to internet.

Also Pikachu is so fun and good. I used to play him for a while but gave up because it was hard. Story of my life.

captain's log:

day 2 > day 1. lot more hands-on than the day before, but somehow we still managed to finish early and help resolve a crisis. probably because we hit two stores at once as a team.

this job is a lot of work and i really hope all my days aren't actually like this, but only time will tell. my hands kind of hurt a bit, worried this'll affect me playing smash in general, let alone melee/pm.

tomorrow i work entirely backstock at the same set of stores i'll be doing this whole weekend.

What? Are you kidding? I'd trade PM for the eSports scene keep growing and growing and get stronger support from big companies. ****, I'll give up national PM for larger support for Melee/SF/GG/what have you.
Towards the wrong person that has a strong bias on PM, you might come off as insane.

Thanks for the future death of PM or something

This might sound kinda crappy but I dislike a lot of the exposure competitive Smash has gotten; it seems like every time the bigger something gets, the crappier it gets as a result. Smash is no exception imo

More money involved = more events, and thus, more opportunities for unsavory members of the community to show why the stereotypes about these games and the people who play them exist in the first place. The extra attention exposure that's coupled with that does NOT help matters.

is dudley like the third strike version of melee falcon

he just kinda gets **** on but lives a long time and then gets one opening and you eat a ton of damage and end up in the corner and then eat more damage and you're dead

or maybe dudley:oro is a weird matchup idk

He's a counter-poke god. He's got next to no actual pokes of his own, but he's the champ of making you regret pushing buttons.

3rd Strike ended up splitting the tournament community and nearly killed the Street Fighter series, so it doesn't exactly have the same kind of legacy that Melee does save for the Daigo parry.

Personally I'm not very big into 3S. A lot of its players tend to like it because it plays so differently than other SF titles.

honestly, smash is gonna be irrelevant in your lives in five or so years most likely, and I'm pretty sure that 90% of the people in this thread aren't going anywhere with smash but "lol i got 7th at my PM weekly XDDDD ima be the best bowsa playa in da american!"

the future of this video game, project m and melee, are sadly not going to be huge parts of my life in the next five, even three years, so I honestly don't give an asteriskasteriskasteriskasterisk about it

Why b/c people couldn't play their mains?

I don't get how you guys see KLK as similar to FLCL. I get a strong Eva vibe from FLCL

"Muh Yung!" "Muh Evil-Ryu!"
There are like how Melee elitist are about PM's balance changes; completely ignore and start to ridicule for what is blasphemy
I don't think the issue with changing sf4 to 3s is the changing of sf4 top tiers, the entire restructuring of the engine is more than enough, I think nerfing chun, yun, and makoto from 3s would be more than enough to cause consternation, and even then, the vast majority of everyone thinks that chun is op

like how people didn't complain that much about snake/mk changes in pm but whined to hell and back about fox
