I really liked how slow Laura's projectile went.

That alone will make her a ton of fun I bet.

I'm kind of surprised "grappler with a low-to-mid-range projectile option" was never tried out in SF before, but she looks fun as hell as a result

also after rewatching abate's matches at big house

abate is really good holy ****
he was outplaying s2j for the first few games until the fact that combos into knee are free and the matchup is like 65:35 in falcon's favor caught up with him
and he still was bodying him in the last game but the typical luigi last stock spaghetti caught up with him and he flubbed two edgeguards until invisible ceiling glitch

he was visibly outplaying mango during game 1 of their set, but he just got foxed at the end

my personal opinion (which may just be a bandwagon idk) is that abate has potential to be a unanimously top 15 player, almost in the same way that axe is with pikachu

luigi is still a bad char in melee though

Most of them are pretty casual cuz they come to play it after doing a league game or two there but luckily some of them have gotten a wii with pm on it so that they can start playing it outside of meets

Since I'm on my mech binge. What should I watch for Gundam stuff to get a good idea of Gundam.

Lizalfos Gundam Build Fighters/BF Try are good as a starting point if you are totally new to what this franchise is all about, while I personally would recommend, say, The 8th MS Team//0083 Stardust Memory or Gundam 00 if you are already familiar with the real robot genre but not yet familiar with how Gundam stuff goes yet.

Yeah, Mech's got a point. The original series'll give you greater context for what's going on in the metaplot, but really, it's not even worth it. Those two shows stand well enough alone IMO.

Not my fault exactly, school is a huge priority and I have to be realistic about things honestly

I just get sad about knowing that I'm literally irrelevant to everyone in DFW right now and that at this point I'd be trying to attend tournaments out of spite

Yea I'm in the same situation as well but like Magicarp said, just keep playing for fun.
That is the point of videogames at the end of the day.

I am oldman and I struggle to play vidya like Smash competively sometimes. Got real gloomy about it the other day, too.

Then I realized that at the end of the day, I have fun doing what I'm doing right now playing this stuff casually when I can. My time'll come; I just gotta be patient.
