Welcome to the Smash community.and its a 100% awful thing to say about someone with a social disability
If we ever play in tourney, Lunchies, I'd want you to pop off after the inevitable win, then punch me.
Does plup have autism?
like, you're right, but at the same time, asperger's syndrome's primary form of treatment is behavior therapy, which is a really fancy way of saying "point out what they're doing and explain to them what to do instead"and its a 100% awful thing to say about someone with a social disability
where/when/why didjya read up on it?like, you're right, but at the same time, asperger's syndrome's primary form of treatment is behavior therapy, which is a really fancy way of saying "point out what they're doing and explain to them what to do instead"
jury's currently out on whether or not asperger's is a neurodevelopmental issue (ie. there is something deficient in your brain) or whether it's entirely social (you just sort of didn't learn how to not have asperger's like everyone else) and the psychiatric community generally tends to support treating it like the latter, whether "treating" refers to actual medical practice or social practice
ok to be fair plup is kinda adorable
A friend of mine just recently got her master's degree in psychology at the local university; at one point sometime last year she was part of a group that was doing a study on the neuropathology of autism spectrum disorders, and I had her send me information on their findings (which essentially amounted to "if there are any, we can't see it").where/when/why didjya read up on it?
Either you're misunderstanding what you were told, or your doctor is wrong/lying. There is currently no valid neuropathology for any of the autism spectrum disorders, and as such it's also especially unlikely that there was decades ago.At the age of 3, I was "diagnosed" with Aspergers. I would assume its a neurodevelopmental disorder, seeing as how they diagnose it based on my brain. I wouldn't be surprised if Aspergers was just kind of a social thing, and there was no real disorder going on, but from my experience it wouldn't go along with what I was told.
obnoxious gifs dont make your ****ty opinions any betterIt doesn't matter if you on the Spectrum™ or not, you have no excuse for not gitting gud at fundametanl social skills.
so does this mean my memes will always be memesEither you're misunderstanding what you were told, or your doctor is wrong/lying. There is currently no valid neuropathology for any of the autism spectrum disorders, and as such it's also especially unlikely that there was decades ago.
