I would say it's because Cruel Angel's Thesis is the best anime intro song ever, but Tank! holds that spot by a mile.

But, NGE's intro just works well as a good hero/character intro song. I mean, look what it does for the Crestfallen Warrior:

I mean, there's no reason I wouldn't be able to if they couldn't, but there's equally no reason I couldn't sign up separately except it's "unfair" to let me reg late. I get that I should have regged. And I never would put it off like this willingly. Just had a stupid circumstance. I just don't understand who it would be unfair to, I feel my situation wouldn't exactly be common and most people who wanted to go would have signed up already.
