You're right, there are no truly solid social rules on the internet. That's why we can shamelessly plug at butthurt balls o' sunshine with no immediate physical backlash; only taking view of their continued attempts to displace unwanted attention and circulate images they feel give them 1337 street-cred. Even a L4RG0 can do it. :3

Reddit is actually a pretty decent content aggregator when ti comes to news and the like(albeit with some pretty obvious slants)-but if you're actually looking for discussion, then smaller subs tend to be the way to go. /r/smashbros actually isn't horrible-it's just not great, either. It avoids a lot of the more questionable pitfalls of regular reddit culture, but obviously suffers from the pitfalls of reddit's core system. The smaller /r/ssbpm and /r/ssbm are far better for discussion, but /r/ssbpm is sorta starting to suffer from gif/gfy overdose on occasion. But at the very least good discussion manages to get near the top regardless.
I mean, you're basically guaranteed to find something on reddit suited to what you feel like, with varying degrees of activity. But defaults are a hive of some pretty ridiculous attitudes. Then again, there are some niche subs that are far, far, far worse.

I'm honestly not mad, even the slightest. Infact I wouldn't mind talking about other stuff with you guys. It's just baffiling to see the escalation of accusations of me being something I wasn't trying to be ever.

And yeah, do your essays. School is, believe it or not, more important than internet arguments. The latter can be found in spades and has no shortage. The former demands timely attention. Re-join the conversation later, maybe discuss something not related to ****posting or...whatever kicked off this in the first place, and you'll probably fit in fine.
I mean, Bleck is pretty much a core facet of PMS.

I hope so, as I already made obvious.
My experience with their administrators is the same if not worse than the moderators have described.
They're ****, they don't care, and they're corrupt. They care more about politics, their egos, keeping Reddit afloat (earning money) and pushing their political agenda.
Numerous episodes in the past have demonstrated their poor conduct, and many leaks have been sprung in the past.
