Here's a build I threw together, I'll explain parts:


CPU: chose the i5 4690k because of its amazing performance, second best processor on the market for emulation and will destroy everything you throw at it, pc games, streaming, netplay doubles.

Motherboard: Z97 so if your hardware gets old in a couple years you can overclock your CPU for performs gains, is also upgradable to 5th Intel processors without a motherboard swap. Gpus are always upgradable.

Memory: 8gb for streaming/pc gaming

Storage: 1tb hard drive for dirt cheap

Video card: 750 ti will do good resolution in almost anything, amazing price/performance, cheap, and small form factor.

Case: It's a beautiful case, roomy, and pretty cheap.

Power supply: 500w bronze so you have enough power to upgrade if you wanted to.

Optical drive: just included it cause most noobs panic trying to install Windows via USB instead of disc, feel free to remove it.

Notes:

This should do everything you want it to do for years. Streaming would be no problem. I know it's a little over budget but it's worth it for the 4690k over the G3258 especially for streaming.

About your upgrade questions the motherboard usually limits the CPU. You can only upgrade your CPU to the same socket as your motherboard. The Z97 is the newest one and it will support the 5th gen Intel core series which isn't even out yet so don't worry.

You have 2 extra RAM slots so you can add more ddr3 RAM if you want it. For a new graphics card you just take out the old one and stick in the new one, no worries about compatibility there.

By the way for Netplay I recommend you get a Nintendo Wii U Adapter or the Mayflash 4 port Wii U Adapter because they have native support in Dolphin meaning 0 input lag and precise controls. This feature is only in the newest builds of Dolphin which don't support Wii netplay yet but it's worth getting one of those for when it does since you need an adapter anyways.

Playing more KH 2.5. Taking a break from BBSFM (since I've pretty much cleared everything with Aqua) and going back to KH2FM. Got all the puzzle pieces and treasure chests save for a certain one in Radiant Garden that won't appear just yet. Cleared all the Org. XIII Mushrooms and got the Winner's Proof and Proof of Peace. Got Sora to 99 and cleared the Hades Paradox Cup. All I've got left to do now the Org. XIII Data Battles and to beat the Lingering Will/Terra. I've already beaten Roxas, Larxene, Marluxia and Luxord and I did those when I was 88.

LMAO no it's so much easier than that. All you need is a screwdriver. All the wires will just plug in.

The CPU comes with a stock cooler but I recommend getting a 3rd party one if you plan on overclocking (get the Coolmaster 212 EVO if you do, cheap and one of the best)

The price there doesn't include the mail in rebates but to claim them you usually have to mail the company like a proof of receipt and they send you the rebate like 3 months later.

This guy in my gym class had only played brawl and sm4sh, and he flipped his sh** when I told him falco's dair spiked people the whole way through. So, I got him a copy of 3.5 today, and while he's probably going to have a heart attack when he tries to airdodge, it'll be interesting seeing which characters he picks up.
note:
I'll have to explain the use of wavedashing (which he insists is a glitch smh) eventually, but I can definitely exploit his lack of knowledge.
I should tell him squirtle is top tier and that fox sucks

Usually it's good for playing games (or maybe other programs? Games are the most common) that normally don't run well on your computer (but are pretty close to running well.)
If it's not for that then you don't have much reason to overclock tbh.

This is what I know about it: It increases the amount of clock cycles your CPU does - in other words, the CPU can process instructions faster. Performance gains from doing it is iffy - some games will perform much better with overclocking, others won't, but I think Dolphin benefits greatly from overclocking.

Basically, your cpu is going to run at 3.2 GHz(if I remember for the 4690 correctly). I can't remember if he said to get the 4690k but the k generally denotes that it's made to be overclocked. When you overclock you can push a k series from 3.2 ghz all the way to 4.0-4.5 depending on the luck of the draw. You want to to have a basic understanding of computer temps if you do this though and I would recommend just not OC'ing for awhile unless you need to. You would need to if you do a ton of stuff that requires a lot of processing power, such as streaming while playing an MMO like archeage that is very processor heavy, in addition to other various things.

Wavedashing is such a glitch in PM. Strong Bad insists its a feature, but he just doesn't want to admit his incompetence as a project leader and how he spreads failure to all of the team that does debugging.

You can list it as a normal tournament. If anything, we would just change it to be worth less if it was too big(i.e. national numbers with no big players).
