Is it bad and/or a sign of some manner of entitlement that I have nearly half a mind to report the people who are just dismissing PM as "not a real Smash game?" I mean, I can understand having a negative opinion but come on

It's because of P:Ms mod status. And some people are really... touchy when it comes to mods. Is what it is. Just don't let it get to you.

As long as you know P:M oozes fabulousness* that is all that matters.

*Oozes fabulousness like me;

Satanpuuu just released the 3rd episode of his WakuShow, a French spiritual successor to Bidoof's Salty Highlights series

He's from Dijon (where all of your mustard comes from) and usually features players from that region, but this time he came to Paris and was able to record a greater variety of players and characters. This new episode features some of France's best players such as *Zen, but so much more !

Check it out and if you feel like helping, share it with your PM crew to support the international PM scene =D

As far as SmashBoards rules are concerned, game preference stuff like this (and belittling others based on it) is considered trolling, although the rules are enforced to less of an extent in the News section to my knowledge. SmashBoards considers Project M as much of a Smash game as the rest of them, and its boards are significantly more active than some of the "real" Smash titles.

... So you're saying I could technically do so (within reason, of course) without penalty?

Not that I would #coward

Seriously though, maybe later. I still gotta shave.

Meh, ignore them. Those toxic people aren't important enough to bother acknowledging.

We know our game is indeed just that, a game, and we know how much we enjoy it. Instead of focusing on the ones trying to go against it, let's just focus on those who already love it and the others who are interested or on the fence. Keep it positive, eh?

And honestly, small tangent on Smash 4, but after playing it while waiting for my turn to get my haircut, I've come to terms with the fact that it's actually not all that hard to be good at it, but it doesn't feel all that satisfying to me, either. The only thing that keeps me going back to it is the Mii Brawler.

I wish I could play as myself in PM. lol

You know. Everyone knows about rainbows. The rare double rain. The even rarer triple rainbow. Or even the legendary quadruple rainbow.

But the mother load of all rainbows? The Organization Rainbow.

It's so rare that not even Leprechauns know about it.

I would need links to specific examples to be sure, but generally if you are legitimately troubled and feel like you don't belong because of the way other users are posting, we don't really penalize for post reports, within reason. I know the APEX game lineup and VGBC announcements were moderated for similar things that you described.

Not sure who has the best spot here between Roxas and Larxene.

I'm legit pissed off about this

EA goes out of its way to completely **** up the development of both of those franchise' most recent titles (SimCity and The Sims 4) which still sold very well despite the critical response and then shuts them down as a result

I hate EA so much graaaah

From what I read they are just closing down the home office in Emeryville and are moving Maxis to Redwood?

Title is super misleading though.
no, they're closing down the core maxis offices, as in the original. they're "trying to" move their employees to other places, but this is EA and their studios close like once a month

consolidating essentially means that a significant amount of the studio's independence will be lost, and that a significant part of the remaining employees will be forced to vacate their positions because they can't/aren't willing to physically relocate

In other words, mimigrim: Layoffs. Not quite what technically is going on here, but it might as well be the same. I'll set my watch and warrant on a sizable chunk of these people being unable to find work within the company.

you know, I'm incredibly glad I realized how utterly horrid working in games would be when I was like 14

I will take my inevitable permanent 9-to-5 retail over companies that won't even let you have paid overtime 99% of the time

Put on some more P:M. Now I realize why I'm having tons of trouble wavedashing: airdodging requires full-press and I'm only light-pressing the trigger. Which is a hassle, because it takes a surprisingly hard push to actually trigger the full-press; if I could somehow use light-press for airdodging that would be great but welp

So working in games isn't good? Lately I've been thinking about what to do and I never really considered games much until recently. I like games so a game job could be pretty good, but I've always figured it's kinda like Hollywood where most people get ****ed over.

Was considering (and was in a game design program) that for a while but the class structure itself was stupid and the business side of it has always turned me off. The huge focus on short-term awful business decisions is the entire problem with the industry. **** consumer loyalty when you can just make tons of money by cashing in on rehashed works with abundant money-grabbing measures in the game and then close the developing companies down afterwards.

My birthday is Sunday. Buy me a cheap New 3DSXL.
My B-day is in 14 days (15 if you count today) and that is exactly what I'm asking for + one game of my chosing. Current;y deciding if I wanna ask for a full pre-order of Etrian Mystery Dungeon, pre-order of Xenoblade Chronicle for the New 3DS, or MH4U.

Why?

I don't really mind it: the Gamecube triggers feel great (seriously, it was a whole generation before and the 360 and PS3 triggers still don't feel nearly as smooth!). I just have to get used to full-pressing, because it has that distinctive "click" and you can't just smash it with your finger quickly.

I can do the motion pretty well, though I tend to accidentally airdodge sideways. Wavedashing off of an edge feels a lot smoother, though maybe that's just a placebo.

I once read that if you're falling in neutral state, then wavelanding onto the ground and platforms has much fewer recovery frames and you should always do it instead of just landing. Is this true?

Everytime I think about putting together enough money to get a ps4+monitor+fightstick for GG and soon sf5, I realize how many smash setups I could buy with it so I dont do it. Then I end up blowing it on stupid things anyway
