Me.id go to apex, but who the **** WANTS to go to new jersey?
idk why but for whatever reason all the new age smashers think everyone is cocky. we live in a messed up world where the truth is "arrogant" because it removes all honesty from calling it how it is. everyone says leffen is going to beat chillin but he cant make that observation for himself? come on.I don't really like how much of a cocky ****bag Leffen is, but he does say a lot of intelligent things backed up by the fact that he's actually really good at the game, and for that I respect him.
That being said, it feels so good to watch him lose.
Not that I actually care, but does him being right or wrong actually matter in whether he's cocky or not?idk why but for whatever reason all the new age smashers think everyone is cocky. we live in a messed up world where the truth is "arrogant" because it removes all honesty from calling it how it is. everyone says leffen is going to beat chillin but he cant make that observation for himself? come on.
i think it does, yes. part of what it means to be arrogant is over-estimating one's ability. the issue here is that i don't think he is, and i'm pretty sure everyone else is on the same page on this one.Not that I actually care, but does him being right or wrong actually matter in whether he's cocky or not?
Actually you're the first one on this pagei think it does, yes. part of what it means to be arrogant is over-estimating one's ability. the issue here is that i don't think he is, and i'm pretty sure everyone else is on the same page on this one.
There is a massive difference between being full of yourself but also completely correct in any boasts you make, and being just plain full of it.Not that I actually care, but does him being right or wrong actually matter in whether he's cocky or not?
god dammitActually you're the first one on this page
If pro smashers start wearing makeup and having character backstories like wrestlers, I'd approve. All that being said, I think he's doing it on purpose. It's building up hype and drama for him, which is advantageous for him and maybe potential sponsors. Besides, it's good to have "bad guys" in sports. (as long as it not like the NFL's types of "Bad guys' where they literally kill and **** people)
Leffen doesn't just talk. He gets results. Hbox and M2K say baseless **** about PM players and game design. Leffen talks **** about people he can beat, and he has proven he was right. There is a massive difference between being full of yourself but also completely correct in any boasts you make, and being just plain full of it.
Chillin isn't even fat anymore, he started working out.Doesn't even matter how true any of it is. If you call someone fat, and people get mad at you for it, make sure you tell everyone "Why are you guys upset at me? That person IS fat! I'm not wrong!" and see what happens lol.
SB be my doubles partner at Aftershock for the lolshe wasn't talking about chillin when he said that lol, it was an analogy.
I want to hear his higher pitched voice again, but I don't know what video would have it.Leffens trash talk isn't even that agressive. It comes off rude because he says it so calmly, and people get offended because they know it's true.
This is playground **** to what the rest of the fgc goes through, it's like you guys didn't watch the viscant LTG money match.
This is also super tame compared to how the smash community used to trash talk lol
When people do the challenges and their outcome is helping me gauge that tooWe should do tech skill difficulty tables. I will start thinking about a formula that considers frame leniency, precision, input amount and a few other factors, it would be nice to see what is really difficult (OK it is somehow subjective, but there are probably certain things most people can kinda agree on).
@ SpiderMad
Does one not see the alert if one gets tagged just in an edit? I found your post by randomly scrolling through the thread, not by the alert.
Your consistency test on monk is scary btw, I'd be afraid that you reveal my fraud consistency at tech skill (can do basically everything from time to time, but not at high consistency and especially not with the psychological pressure which would then last on you if you are about to be exposed) if we met irl, and I think many others would be too.
I can see why older players would hate him based on stuff I've heard from them and his older Smashboards posts and stuff, he's still blunt, cocky, and rude but not enough that he'd be someone I actively hate or cheer against now. Most people don't even know why they hate Leffen, they just saw other people in the community doing it so they decided to hate on him too.
...nahhhhSB be my doubles partner at Aftershock for the lols
We need a compilation of Leffen losing, like the one they made for Chris GI don't really like how much of a cocky ****bag Leffen is, but he does say a lot of intelligent things backed up by the fact that he's actually really good at the game, and for that I respect him.
That being said, it feels so good to watch him lose.
Jokes. How do they work?!he wasn't talking about chillin when he said that lol, it was an analogy.
uh no@Dakpo and I are winning PM dubs at aftershock. You all have no hope.
I call dibs on being the Cena of Smash. I will fulfill this by going on the grand finals of Sm4sh, telling Zero that he "can't see me" while waving my hand in front of my face, lifting him up on my shoulders as if he was the Big Show and Mark Henry combined, and give him an Attitude Adjustment off the stage unto the ground which will cause a 6.0 earthquake in Jersey and the destruction of the Clarion hotel. Amongst the rubble, I will no sell it and with my theme music hitting out loud of nowhere, I will yell out to all the injured and dead below me that the CHAMP......IS.....HERE!If pro smashers start wearing makeup and having character backstories like wrestlers, I'd approve.
You're talking about the storylines? Kids will usually believe them as real. Certain adults will believe the realistic storylines like the underdog vs the powers that be. Hell, I believed the Eddie Guerrero vs Brock Lesnar rivalry because even though Brock was this beast, Eddie was portrayed as a guy who lied, stole, and cheated his way to victory.Wrestling is a joke, right? People don't actually think any of that **** is real (except for the hitting), do they? Like it's all just frivolous.
Yeah I don't care about that. I just want all the best moments of Leffen getting bodied in one convenient video, is that too much to ask?Now see, Chris used to be full of it and wrong for it pretty often.
Still is, but not quite as much.
Not a fair comparison~
