Yeah that feature got removed too lol.

Which is surprising. The game added features for the competitive crowd, and removed features from the casual crowd. You have less control over the casual aspects of multiplayer but more control over competitive facets in this game.

That's better than the opposite right? I mean. Yeah. Right.

But that's still stupid and disappointing. Items are overpowered enough that putting them on low in high-level FFAs added some great dynamics. Why on earth remove that feature.

Quite possibly because they (finally) realized that there are 2 camps of players.

Casual and competitive.

But then they forgot there is a middle ground.

They probably think that casuals will play with items on high frequencies and competitive will play without items period.

So they "streamlined" it.

Is it a good idea? Nah. But hey, what do I know? lel

I think the removal of item control only affects the 3DS. Cuz, you know, it's a pretty ****ty system.

I wish there was a capture card that could use an android device, but otherwise there's that expensive one that doesn't need anything

You can mash out of grabs, dude. You know, mash buttons on your controller to force a grab release faster . . . ? It was a joke.

You mean controlling item spawn frequency?

If so, how is it a ****ty system?

If anything, its the opposite. To me at least.
By ****ty I just mean that it probably doesn't have the processing power to have more than a certain amount of items on the field at the same time, so that's why they probably wanted to make sure that never happened by removing item frequency options altogether. There are also many clues here and there suggesting this, like removal of waddle dees from DDD's moveset (side-b, final Smash), Pikmin number reduced, Diddy only having 1 banana and removal of transformations. Sure, some of these *might* pass up as balance changes, but this Sakurai we talkin about, what is balance.
Compared to what? The Vita? Smartphones?
Oculus rift dawg

Nah, comparing it to previous consoles with Smash. The 3ds is slightly (?) worse than the Gamecube.

Game lineup might be amazing but the specs are pre-2001.

and as we know from a few pages ago, it's all about the graphics

The 3ds has amazing games? I watched a few best 3ds game reviews and all the games look so lame.

I was chatting with a guy today who was showing me all about these various steam games on his laptop, lot of lame ones there too (aside from fun competitive ones like Nidhogg)

I miss the Gameboy Advance era. Minus the lack of Wifi, I think that was the holy grail

I feel SNES through PS2 is where you'll find some of the greatest games of all time. Albeit this is actually quite a large time frame.
