Running 3.5 while others are running 3.6b will cause desyncs which causes the characters to SD and act weird. You might want to update.

Oh, yeah. there's a proccess you have to go through to get that to work. And it's still buggy. It's definitely in beta.
I wish I could help, but I don't even remember the process I went through to get it to work. There are guides out there somewhere.
