squirtle has really decent grab mixups and has deceivingly log range attacks with water gun and grounded bubble. Most people tend to underestimate it and as a result they are in for a grab setup or combo.

I don't think that he 4 stocked me this time, but he did get close. I'm sure he did at least once last time we played, but I NEVER play against any Sonics OR Squirtles. They're also two characters that you can't look at and know what they're doing easily, you need to read mostly everything.

I might try to pick up Squirtle, I just know that I'm gonna have to practice that shell dash.

~Rules~
(Some rules are subject to change before the date of January 25th 2015)
It is advised to remove any custom content you suspect may be the cause of desyncs.
Items will remain in OFF and None settings for the entirety of the tournament for all entrants.
All matches will be best of 5.
If a match goes to Sudden Death, the match is stopped and a tie breaker is set up with each player having 1 stock and 3 minutes on the timer. Bob-ombs are NOT to be turned on in cases of sudden death, and automatic sudden death matches WILL NOT count towards the tournament.
No alternate forms of characters (Giga Bowser, SoPo, etc.).
If the winner of a match decides to switch characters his opponent must be notified before they enter their next match.
Desyncs and disconnects will be automatic rematches unless both players reach an agreement as to who won.
Results screens and replays of all matches must be recorded/agreed upon by both players involved.
Cutoff date for entries is Friday January 30th 2015.
Tournament will be in progress from January 31st onward until all matches are complete.

i used to main squirtle and the only thing that keeps him from being really good is that you can crouch cancel a majority of his moves, he is also very light

Imo squirtle is one tricky ******* to pin down since he has really good movement thanks to his really long wavedash, the momentum he gains from the turn around shell thing and the usage of his turn around side b and neutral b. Just be carefull to not overly depend in side b since that move can be pretty unsafe at times. But yeah, thx for games :).

Anyone up for some games?
