I saw it and I was like "finally someone who gets it". Not to step on guys like armada, but I'm pretty sure that's what Pit is supposed to look like in action.

Armada is good for someone who doesn't focus on Project M though. It's just natural talent having played melee the way he does for so long. I've been focusing on pit since 2009 lol. Not to many others really gave a crap about him tbh but he's got the potential to be the best. I want to be the best pit and contend for best in the world in Project M myself....so I've put some work in with pit that alot of people haven't yet but some have. Ruby's pit is pretty good and Fly has a nice pit but he goes DDD now. Walk has a pretty good pit as well. If Armada gets more into since Project M is growing as a game and could potentially yield as much prophet as Melee soon then I'll have him to contend with as well....but I'm not afraid;)

Well of course Armada is a genius at Melee. But I saw the video of him vs leffen and I was like "where's the Pit stuff?" lol. He's got a rock solid foundation to work with though, he'd probably still wreck me, heh.

I play Sonic in vbrawl so I'm used to switching between camp and aggro.

You can't judge a player based on how they play a particular match-up. In a tournament with money and glory on the line it's actually safer to be defensive minded first. Lucario is an offensive machine and if you let him he would whoop your *** from one end of the stage to the other. It is actually in your best interest in that MU specifically to shoot that animal from far away. Force him to make a reckless or hasty attack and then that's when you attack. Armada may have known this from friendlies or he just instinctively figured it out. I don't know I'd have to ask lol.

Armada's Pit looks really solid too. He doesn't really incorporate the Side-B though.

he only played a little bit of pit before entering the tournament. Not to mention his main focus is still melee. If anyone really tried to sit down and explore pit they usually figure out the same things.

Yeah I basically played the game the day before the tournament.
My experience with PM is not many hours at all. I tried to focus on PM theday before the tournament because I knew Leffen/others had much more experience and I tried to understand Pit good enough to actually win.

I guess the training was enough for winning that tournament and Im confident I would preform well against other PM players too even if I don't have that much practice. Playing PM is not like playing melee but tons of stuff is kinda free if you have that much experience from melee :p

^ Told you. If you saw the Project M tournament at FC alot of newer players that have reached new heights in project M were taken out by Melee vets. Even if they didn't exactly have experience in the game or with certain characters but the knowledge and confidence gained from many times spent in finals of multiple tournaments was enough to overcome the newer less experienced players.

@ Armada I'll keep the title of best pit safe until you challenge me for it later:cool:

Yeah but wasn't 3 out of 4 in top 4 for PM melee pro players?

You can keep the title if you wanna do that not like I play the game :p
