I dont have trouble using dolphin slash and dancing blade but i find it hard to get in a situation where i need it (apart from the obvious of course). In a match i will maybe try to use the moves once or twice miss as expected... then get my *** handed to me. After that i just return to the ultimate-never failing short-hop fair. So my question is what time should i use Dancing blade and dolphin slash?

Can we just ask an admin to redirect the Marth boards link to a website with those two links and a third link that isn't active until you've clicked on both links and all the links within the "useful links" website....

*sigh* it's not too much to dream is it =[

you could read those... and its beneficial to if you're gonna heavily start learning Marth.

DB and DS are the most important of Marth's tools.

Both are punishers.

DB is also an approach or a follow up. DB as an approach is just Dash -> DB (don't do dancing fair or **** like that.)

Marth is a campy character. Shield -> DB or Shield -> DS and sometimes if it's a dash attack or grab (that you predicted) Spot dodge -> DS

They're meant to punish people who get inside your tip range.

Also. DB down is garbage, can rack up damage. Keep in mind characters can DI and down combo is lengthy and easily punishable.

Neutral combo is okay. Reliable.

And Up combo can lead to a follow up.

A set up for DB is... Dtilt -> Dash -> DB...

easy?

well, these threads are getting fewer and fewer, so it's nice. Keep showing those two links and hopefully we will get this problem fixed.

That was also incorrect. Dancing Blade is a punisher, not an approach. It is not safe on block. Out of dash, you should fair, stop dashing, shield, empty SH, or fully spaced Shield Breaker.

But really, you should walk. I wasn't going to post here, but even making a useless thread should not be punished with another crime, and spreading false information should be illegal.

pierce, DB from dash is sometime viable. And... i did state both ARE punishers. only supporting your statement.
your methods maybe are more effecient.

but properly spacing a DB, and adding mind games into it, as mixing up the lengths... can be viable.

DB is punishable if inproperly spaced like every approach with marth...

and... I won't be arguing with you about walking.

Walking is god. Dash is there to space. or follow up.

I dont know about anyone else but I personally like using Dolphin slash on opponents edge hogging, good old stage spike. But you have to be at their height at the time of excecution.
