It can be a pretty wacky mindgame sometimes.

Falcon is dash dancing in front of you, then he starts moonwalking away from you, all of a sudden he jumps forward and knees you in the face. It especially ****s with people who are not used to seeing it done integrated seamlessly into the falcon player's play style (i.e. me when I play Balloon)

Moonwalking is as solid a technique as wavedashing, don't be afraid to experiment on your own.

It actually looks pretty useful as an edgeguard in that it gives you the option to edgehog or hit them with a flying aerial.

Yeah its alot of fun to use just to get others to mess up. Im personally still trying to find solid ways to use it in my play style though. and to me thats what is hard about moonwalking.

At one point I was certain that moonwalking was the best form of techchasing.

Think about it if they tech behind you, then you can follow up, if they stay on spot you can cancel the moonwalk if they go infront you can cancel and run in. I don't do it anymore really. The only use of it is quickly turning around and gaining ultra momentum and ledgecanceling into a d-air spike edgehog. The best part about meele is anything you can do in the game can be useful if you're creative. :)

I just... can't get moonwalking down with cfalcon, when I do it, he does it about as far as my link moonwalk, even though I flip the controller to the other side as fast as someone doing the full moonwalk (without letting it go through the middle) @____@ it's so annoying since I find it the most awesome thing evar :[

Look, you're technique is wrong. Period.

instead of doing a half-circle motion, go from walking one direction to a 45 degree the other one and rotate back. The key is to do this all IN ONE FRAME.

Make sure the control stick ends directly sideways (in the side corner of the 'hexagon') to get the longest moonwalk.

If you're having trouble with speed, try dashing in one direction, and then dashing back, immediately into a moonwalk. It's a little easier IMO.

I use it all the time.. but I can only do it to the right.
Moonwalking to an edge guard it the fastest way to get there imo besides maybe a pivot.

That's how most people do it ; but, one frame? seriously? Well, that'll be for a pretty long and sexy moonwalk.

Anyway, I think moonwalking can be very useful, it's like a tricky looking wavedash -that looks pretty sexy by the way- but, it's really useful only if you can do it enough consistently to the point that you'll be always able to do it at anytime in the match -just a lot of practice-
