Potential Leaked Roster Surfaces

The character select screen having no names under the picture is the biggest difference between the demo and the image.

The guy who made it may have been photo shopping the text from other images and may not have the actual font.

Since characters names were so many, he decided not to include them as it would be easy to tell its not the correct font, or too much time or too difficult to shop the text into the image for each name.

No one has mentioned anything about the validity of Jigglypuff, Dark Pit, ROB, or Falco's renders yet. Come on Team Fake, what's wrong with those?

Nothing is wrong with them in the eyes of Team Fake because they want those characters... well, except for Dark Pit.

A set of new and possibly legit pictures were posted on 4chan today with what could be the final roster for Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and maybe Wii U. Debate is still ongoing concerning the legitimacy of this leak due to the choice of characters and the general vagueness of leaks.

It contains all of the characters revealed up until now as well as the following veterans:

• Wario
• Mr. Game and Watch
• Ganondorf
• R.O.B.
• Falco
  
• Ness

As well as including newcomers such as:

• Bowser Jr.
• Duck Hunt Dog
• Dark Pit
• Shulk

It features the returning veteran that missed out on Brawl:

• Dr. Mario

Also, not appearing on this potential final roster is:

• Ice Climbers
• Lucas
• Ivysaur
• Squirtle
• Snake
• Wolf

Those who defend this leak have stated that these character renders look professional and they have never been seen before - especially Ness and the Duck Hunt Dog. Those against the leak cite that the overall quality is inconsistent and other graphical errors such as Wario missing a pupil and Mr. Game and Watch's hand going out of his tile. It is also interesting to note that the Mii Fighter is absent on the select screen. This could either mean it is fake or that the picture consists of a mode where Mii Fighters are not supported which was confirmed to exist during E3 2014. Skepticism is best considering the nature of this leak.

Along with the potentially leaked roster was the stage select screen. It shows previously revealed stages such as Golden Plains, Rainbow Road, and Tortimer Island but also reveals some never before seen stages such as a Yoshi stage, a F-Zero stage, Distant Planet, and a Xenoblade stage.

What are some of these stages??

Also potentially leaked was DLC content; citing that the following characters will be included as DLC in the future:

• Snake
• Wolf
• Lucas
• Ice Climbers
• Chorus Men

As with any leak, take it with a grain of salt. The next few weeks will reveal whether it is real or fake for sure.

The thing I find odd about the Duck Hunt Dog debunk image is that it has the full ear something that the render we see in the game doesn't have. Of course that could be photoshop too, but I don't know. I'm still learning towards it being fake, and I hope it is mainly because how ugly it looks, as well as the fact that it's littered with past stages and none are from SSB64. I'd be fine with this roster of Mewtwo is hidden still.

Nothing is wrong with them in the eyes of Team Fake because they want those characters... well, except for Dark Pit.

Actually, Falco's looks a lot like the pose he does in us space emissary before the text shows up when you unlock him. It could very easily be an altered version of that. Jigglys looks lower quality than the actual character art of other characters, with her arms looking like noodles. Idk what to say about dark pit or rob since I haven't been looking around for pics of them.

The tomodachi room in the picture is actually in tomodachi life, they could've easily gotten the picture from there. Brinstar was announced yesterday, so that doesn't really support anything.
And Shulks face is in the EXACT same position as the little Mac picture previously posted, and has the same eyes and mouth and brows. That is a serious red flag.

Can you pretty please tell me one way in which Mewtwo and Lucario are similar besides their neutral B moves? No? In that case, I think Lucario should be cut due to being too similar to Samus. They are easily both very interesting and diverse characters in their own rights, regardless of each other's presence. Lucario was a very late addition to Brawl, and almost didn't make it in. He in no way "replaced" Mewtwo.

I see your point. I heard lucario was made to be a spiritual successor, but I'm unaware of a real source. But the point is just because the roster doesn't have k rool or Ridley doesn't question it's validity.

The lack of detail in both the character and stage selection screen is pretty much the biggest giveaway that this is fake. No character names, stage names, or stage previews are definitely not official Smash quality, even in this stage of the Wii U version's development.

Also, the characters. Okay, maaaaaaybe Dark Pit. Maybe. I could see it happening, but I thought Sakurai was pretty much done with clones. I really, REALLY doubt Shulk is going to be on the roster. Bowser Jr. is pretty much just a side character. And...

Wait, DUCK HUNT DOG? That's like saying "Goomba for Smash." Just... dumb. There would be no moveset whatsoever, and even if they did "oh cool you can switch between dog and duck" there would still be no moveset.

Along with the fact that a bunch of Brawl's characters aren't coming back, this evidence says that the leak is fake. I'd be perfectly happy if Doc or Mewtwo came back, though.

If this is real, I'll be seriously disappointed about no Bandana Dee, Ridley, and (Kinda) Isaac. But he said he hasn't unlocked all the characters, so if this is real then there's still hope.
But right now, it's looking 20% real and 80% fake.

I've been thinking about this all day and have concluded to this.I really want dark pit,Shulk and bowser jr in.I can see Duck hunt dog in as a retro character and maybe i could buy dr.mair but that's only and only if there crazy enough to put 7 mario characters.However that bugs me the mos at this is the cut characters.Ice climbers,Wolf,Lucas.Now Lucas i could see gone but Wolf and Ice climbers are a bit odd.I think Star fox is set for a 4th rep seeing as in every smash game we get a new star fox character.Ice climbers being cut is odd seeing as they been in since melee.I say i'm on the fence on this.I want it to be fake because i think there are more chracters to come like Ridley,Krystal,Issac but would be okay because we have Dark pit,Shulk, and Bowser jr. So, I finally got around to reading the leaker's description... they describe "Duck Hunt" as having ducks on his back that he sends out to attack his enemies in a variety of ways. This means the ducks have allied with him... even though his only relationship with them is chasing around their carcasses as they fall out of the sky.

Fortunately, canon means very little to Smash, so this probably doesn't carry much weight over its legitimacy. It does paint sort of a dark tone for the character though...

I think it's more so that a lot of people are just so bias about what they want and what they don't want so if you show them something like this and it isn't what they wanted, they'll immediately pass it off as fake because it's not what they wanted, that's what I got from this and back when Brawl's starter roster was leaked because what's going on here is really no different and I believe that same leak was put up just a few weeks before the Japanese release like this one.

I say we just wait and see because the next character reveal could make or break this leak.

Either Shrek or Donkey. I personally hope for a double reveal.
