I'm pretty new to attempting the inf. jc shine but from what i've attempted it seems WAY too hard to attempt using X.

So..Is it even possible? Any tips/suggestions on the JCinf would be nice too :)

I can do it using X, but I have to position my fingers in a rather silly way in order to do it (not practical at all!). Y is much easier, but still incredibly hard (IMO). The control stick is the easiest and most efficient way, and the most practical (shield pressure, lulz).

I can't really give you any tips other than "go practice, roflz." Have fun.

then when u can do that consistently SPEED it up till your actully jc shining

i used to use the x button also and wondered why stuff was so hard to learn lol

Easiest way to do it is to claw with your thumb/index finger. But I find the fastest way to do it is with your index and middle finger. It's easy to reach to the x or y button that way.

I want to expect better of you, but I know not to
the easiest way to do it is the way that you feel most comfortable. this is silly, everyone finds different things easy to do in different ways. also, infinite is a silly thing to say. for the record, I do leftmost part of Y with the tip of my tumb, b with the middle of my thumb while holding down on the control stick.

Control stick is not the most practical at all.
I love the evidence you used to back up that claim. You're too good at this refuting thing ^^

Which button do DSW and other top Falco players use to pressure shields (double+ shines)? I was under the impression that it was the control stick. I'm actually pretty curious now.

If most top Falcos do not use tap jump to do multishines in serious matches, then I concede your point.

from my experience, most use what is most comfortable to them -_-'

seriously, who the hell cares? you know all the options, try them out and figure out what works best for you. I believe Eggm and Shiz use Y, outside of that, I have no idea and I'm only like 75% sure of those.

It's not about what you do on the controller it's about what you make happen on the screen. Citing "pros" and their habits as evidence to back a claim doesn't mean anything. Personally i've found ways to play falco using X, I've never really seen anyone throw out three shines back to back (to back) and even if it is in one or two videos it's not practical to consistently do more than a double shine everytime you're pressuring someones shield. Hope this helps.

Edit: Also, I find it a lot easier to get multiple JC shines when I do use the claw in training mode, however, in a match, i'm too caught up in the pace of the battle to switch my finger style, sure with practice you could change that, but I don't think my shield pressure game suffers whatsoever from doing what my hands feel is natural.

Zhu uses X. As do I. Shiz uses Y for everything iirc. I just found there was too much potential for error with control stick, where as with a jump button, I never have to move the control stick.

Ah, then my sincerest apologies, good sir.

Does Zhu just use his thumb for double shines? If so, that's hellz0r fast.
