Geist, I can definitely help with Maya stuff if you have any questions. The interface is really confusing at first though LOL, I know exactly how you feel.
Learning keyboard shortcuts helps alot, and also figuring out different methods of accomplishing the same task and just experimenting. Just like Photoshop.
If joeadok stillcared about us visited this place I'm sure he'd be a big help as well, his 3D modeling's always gooood.

Yeah shortcuts are what I'm putting a lot of time into learning atm.
I have to do grouping and stuff right now, and basic animation on the wheels and axles of my car.
I actually can't remember how to rename groups though ._.
Lucky for me, I have a good friend who's been working with 3d for a few years now, and lucky for him I'm able to help him with pretty much everything else ;D

I don't have a lot of time to draw, I don't have a lot of free time anymore due to school and stuff, and drawing often gets a second place AKA 10 mins a day or on the weekends.

No idea, I used it once, and then stuck with Nero. :/
Im debating making myself a new DA account.
Pros: Fresh start, breaking away from past work and starting anew
cons: ive spent 4 and a half years on that account...it's hard to just stop using that as a main account (i'd still keep it...just minimal journal updates and no new deviations)

Only if you really think that's necessary.
Sometimes I would just go through and remove stuff I thought was bad/ugly/too old. So you don't really have to make a new account to break away from past work.
However I also think it's important to look at old work every once in a while, and see how far you've progressed.
I'd keep it, personally. Unless you like really want a different name or something lul.

I might start one once I've done more school projects. We have a few cool things we're doing now that I'll be able to add to my portfolio :D

I actually considered changing DA accounts before. Then I got inactive so there was no point.
@Geist: Lots of artists on DA pretty much do only one sort of thing. If you're good and you make yourself known you will get attention. :D

Maaan, I wanted a 3DS the day it came out, but... the launch title lineup was not that impressive. I think I'll wait a while for more games to come out before getting it... I think the new Animal Crossing will be out in like June.
It's kinda close to Pokemon B&W's release anyway, so I'll probably still be occupied with that for a while lol. Blazblue 3D sounds amaaaazing though.

Yeah I was so relieved after hearing CS2 was a patch instead of a completely new game ( for the 360 and PS3 that is.) :V
Apparently Platinum is coming free with the patch, but I haven't seen confirmation of that...

I played Valkenhayn and Makoto a few times. They're both completely broken lmaoooo
They're both getting fixed though. I'm actually looking forward to a higher tiered Tsubaki. Should be interesting to see. That, and Litchi and Bang are both super nerfed ;D
