Poll: Best doubles partner for Ice Climbers

Whenever I watch team tourneys, I always watch for moments when the fighters chain moves together into an effective offense. But when watching some other tourneys, certain teams will look more or less cohesive. That got me wondering. Who is the best partner for each character? Well, since I’m a casual Brawler, and I don’t have the expertise to judge, so why not ask the experts? I originally tried this on GameFAQs, but the users in general were immature, or not qualified to give the information. Then I remembered the specific boards on Smashboards, so I brought the poll here. So who do you think the best partner is for Ice Climbers?

Snake, because of the sheer brute force of his attacks. Ice Climbers rack damage up extremely easily, but options on knocking off opponents are limited.

As long as your not facing another IC, I'd say IC is IC best partner, double cg FTW

For the ice climbers, ummmm I would say WOLF. Me and my brother are team number one for MLGPRO Brawl. Our team is the most dominant so far.

Interesting. Why would you say wolf? Is there a certain reason (blaster spam works well?) or do they just flow really well together?

I've actually never seen a wolf in doubles =\

actually wolf is pretty good in doubles. his forward smash is really good for racking up damage and breaking up crowds. its only his recovery that ruins it.

i am actually going to say jigglypuff cause she can wall of pain for a lot of low percent kills leaving room for iceys to pull off their chain grabs. plus you gotta love the rest kills

I'm going to say DK. He's got a pretty good air game, somewhere the ice climbers are fairly weak, and great KO ability.

I would disagree with the idea of snake being a good partner--all of his explosions going on all over the stage would get in the way of CGs.

I may just be baiased towards my main, but it seems like Olimar would suit ICs nicely. If somebody has a white pikmin on them, they would only focus on getting it off. In other words, they wouldn't notice if you sneak up and grab them. Also, Olimar has a nearly lagless disjointed grab, so he could easily keep an opponent stationary so he doesnt interrupt you CGing the other opponent.
