POKEMON ART CONTEST
Hello, fellow Poke Center regulars! My school's gamers club recently had a Pokemon fan art contest, and I said to myself, "Hmm, why hasn't the PC had an art contest?" (Spriting aside, that is.)
So here you go. Follow this version's theme, submit a peice, and await thy judgement. There will be two judging categories: Pubic adjudication (in which the general public is free to come in and vote on which peice they think is the best-fitting for each category) and a private judge critique. In the end, winners from each categories will be announced, and the judges will name their favorite peices.
Voting Categories
In the style of Draw With Your Power (my SSB art contest), there are 4 voting categories: Digital, Hand-Made, Creative, and Overall.
Digital: Art made with Photoshop, MS Paint, or with the help of anything digital falls into this category.
Also known as the fancy, expensive image-editting software category.
Hand-Made: Art made with physical materials, like pens, pencils, or clay, on a physical canvas, like computer paper, fall under this category. Unlike in DWYP, submissions created with tablets in Photoshop (or a similar program) will not fall under this category.*
Also known as the poor man's category.
Creative: In this category, vote for whichever peice you feel is the most creative (if, perhaps, not the best drawn).
Also known as the bizarre category.
Overall: Vote for the peice you think is the best, standing above the rest.
Also known as the Spire category.
* Yes, I understand that most digital art is technically hand-drawn, but this category is to insure that people without access to image-editting software aren't left in the dust by Photoshop Extraordinaires.
Rules
If you plan on stealing other's artwork and submitting it as your own...
If you plan on submitting nude or otherwise indecent images...
If you plan on flaming other's artwork...
Also, submissions must be submitted by 11:59 PM, GMT-4 ON THE DUE DATE.
In order to prevent voting periods from dragging on, you cannot vote for yourself.
Submissions must be created for the contest. No existing pictures.
When submitting, tell us how you made your peice.
Judges
Each contest will have 3 judges. At the end of each contest, they will personally and individually critique each peice and rate them on the following:
Craftmanship
Adherence to Prompt
Style
Concept
The critiques will be posted publically, at the same time.
QUESTION: Can judges submit artwork in this contest?
ANSWER: Yes, but they cannot critique themselves.
