I replied to you before that it can't happen. Even if they're a part of the same evolutionary line, it and Bulbasaur are still technically different species so it's against the rules.

Well technically they're the same species. It's just like Mario is still Dr. Mario and Luigi is still Mr. L.

Am I the only person who thinks Ivysaur should just have recolors? It doesn't have much source material and I'd rather not see some OC do not steal designs. They should just do some fan pleasing colors such as Piranha Plant or Deku Baba schemes sort of like the Koopa colored Squirtle.

Yup. A recolour would be enough. Everything is different.
Is Shinobi Squirtle based on anything, or is it entirely original? I know for a fact that Lucario's design is based on Pokémon items and the stereotype that uses fighter type Pokémon....

And by the way, a few people in this thread complained about unmodest Justin Bailey, I made a more modest texture if anyone's interested.

Something I've always loved about Ivy: His range. He launches seeds, he vine-whips, even his smash attacks cover a good area.

So why not something military based? His bud could be a turret, he could wear a helmet...Maybe even some ghillie suit in there...

But then again... This is coming from someone less-than fond of Dr. Mario's combat Medic costume... I'm a hypocrite.

So hey, Psy, decided to fix this suggestions list up a little. I added the number of remaining costumes each character should have now, highlighted a couple of suggestions that happened. I moved the suggestions for characters that are full now to the bottom of the list, so you can still see the highlighted ones that happened on them. Though, I didn't remember any of the new suggestions and didn't want to look them up, so the only one I added was Sailor Squirtle since I drew it a while back and it stuck with me.

I want ALL of them... They're so fantastic! If they removed the Pirate Hat, Party Hat and Ash Hat, they'd be able to do all the costumes plus one more! I'll bet, if anything, I'll bet they'll do Pikachu's Melee cowboy hat, and the Pichu costumes with an edit to the blue goggles adding a bandana, which would be nice if they wanted to make more team colours. Maybe even change Pikachu's colour to make him more Pichu-ish. (Unless they added Pichu separate character cough cough,)

Zelda
-Skyward Zelda would be awesome although maybe not plausible. I guess a lot of work would be required for her to fit the game, both geometrically and aesthetically. Not to mention the team would have to make their own Skyward interpretation of Sheik, which maybe is something they aren't willing to do. Maybe the HW incarnation of Zelda/Sheik would be a better addition for this reason? I really like Zelda's design in that game.
-Puppet Zelda would be a cool addition. Would require relatively little work and it would probably not be too hard to come up with a matching Sheik costume.

-Fierce Deity Link is probably the most requested costume for Link. I get it wouldn't be possible for him to be completely true to his original design, with his too wide of a sword and lack of shield. Hell, it's not even really an Adult Link. Perhaps it could be more of a cosplay-type deal?
-Soldier Link looks really fresh! If a HW Link isn't made, maybe it could work as a cosplay for one of the current ones? Preferably OoT Link in my opinion!
-Zora Armor or Magic Armor as a replacement for some of the TP color swaps perhaps?

I would like a Flying Mario recolor, but I'm not sure if I'd want it to replace the current black recolor for Mario, since he's had that recolor since Smash 64..

They probably won't give Zelda her Skyward Sword costume, basically because of that reason, and also because she's also more likely to just get recolors of her Melee outfit.

I'm not really a fan of the idea of PM having that as a skin, Smash 4 already has that, and I'd rather see something more interesting for a costume slot. Also Link now has all of his costume slots full, because Black OoT tunic. I personally wanted Ordon Link.

I half like the idea of the Zora and Magic armor as recolors, mainly because they're what he wears in the game that version of Link is in, but I half dislike it because I like the updated look of Link with chainmail under the tunic.

Ditto for Conductor Tink.

I like all the ideas you said for DK, especially Chained Kong, but I'm not sure if any of them (besides Super Kong) would work, since the rest aren't DK.. They're different characters, ugh.

Ditto for Bowser. I think he could have like 2 recolors for the Wedding tuxedo skin, one where its white, another where its black, like a regular tux.

Old Snake is cool, but I'd prefer his MGS1 look. And his Iroquois Pliskin disguise.
And Tuxedo Snake.

I'm neutral for Sonic costumes. I personally hope that one day all his recolors become cosplays. That'd be good enough for me. Lol

I'm against Darkspine Sonic. Why give him a costume resembling one of his 2391837192 transformations for his normal self? It would be like giving him a Super Sonic alt.

Had Super Sonic not been his Final Smash I wouldn't have minded him as a costume, really. It would be kind of weird for him to transform into Super from Darkspine though, I can agree.

In regards to the Kong costumes, it would be no different from Snake cosplaying as Big Boss or Roy and Marth cosplaying as other FE characters.

I'm pretty sure it's not official art, as it's just a Beat cosplay. Fans have drawn things similar, but to my best knowledge, it's always just been fan-work.

I like it. I know officially it's not a Greninja reference, but I like to see it that way.

Still hoping for Sailor Squirtle at some point, dressed up like the Sailor Trainers in the games. Still might make it myself if it doesn't happen.
