I'd say Bulbasaur being the same character is debatable. That's like saying Super Sonic isn't actually Sonic. Besides, their builds are the same and the change in size they go through is negligible enough to be ignored for the purposes of the costume, I'd think. Having said that, you're all free to edit this list yourselves. That's why I made it, so that people in the thread can build from it. It's just a base list for us to fine-tune. I'll go ahead and make those changes, though.

Clearly the size of the character changes, and that the model would have to follow suit. It's not debatable in those terms.

I feel like a lot of characters don't need alts, just colors.
Ice Climbers, Charizard, Ivysaur, Squirtle, Olimar, Mr. G&W, and Kirby.
Everyone else has reasonable alt concepts that would be better than more colors.

It's not just about the alts that are most popular, although that's a part of it, but they also have to be feasible. Classic Sonic's a lot shorter and chubbier than the one in Brawl, so their bones and the build of their bodies don't match up. PMBR already said they won't do things like that. That's why I didn't add Sports Peach, because she doesn't have a dress, and that's also why Nurse Peach specifically says that her dress would be lengthened for the purpose of the costume. We can keep him on, though, if you could think of a way to feasibly make him work without any size mods or bone edits.

Thanks much for the input, Nanobuds. I hadn't thought of Draw / Quickdraw Kirby's hat interfering with his copy abilities, though I suppose it should have been obvious in hindsight, same with cloaked Mewtwo. I'll update the list to remove them.

Fire Peach is already a throwback to Super Mario Bros. 1 Peach, so it'd be redundant unless you REALLY wanted her to be a redhead.

I'm feelin that Melee style dress though, and with that a TRUE Daisy recolor with darker skin, brown hair, flowery designed dress like Melee's, etc.

Quickdraw Kirby won't work, because of the hat getting in the way of the copy abilities n stuff.

Also, cloaked Mewtwo won't work either... we can't add more bones for the cloak, so the cloak will be pretty stiff and awkwardly clip with the tail.

I''m pretty sure I mentioned this in the subreddit before, but I'll say it here.

Classic Sonic will not work. If we shorten the spines, then there goes the hitbox rule. Also, he's a lot fatter than Brawl Sonic. This will cause MANY animations to clip through the body, which will just be annoying and aesthetically displeasing, as well as affect the hurtboxes a tiny bit.

Also, having them the same height just wouldn't feel right.

Its like when your parents would read your christmas list in November when you were a wee little lad, and start listing off reasons you cant have any of the stuff :C

"Sorry son, but you can't get a PS2 this year, the hurtbox will get messe- I MEAN UM.. Santa cant afford it."

I mean, it's a possibility (unlikely though) but we can throw it on the list, right?

Also, add Wind Waker , and an Alm recolor for .

Thanks much for the input, Nanobuds. I hadn't thought of Draw / Quickdraw Kirby's hat interfering with his copy abilities, though I suppose it should have been obvious in hindsight, same with cloaked Mewtwo. I'll update the list to remove them.

Also guys, Kirby can't have an alt costume because I'm sure it would mess with his hats in weird ways.
