*****EDIT*****
Florida did a great job today, and I am happy to say we got 5 people registered, and we only need 3 more by Friday night. This is still also the deadline for free T-shirts, so lend us a hand and be one of the last few to nab priceless clothing memorabilia.

Hooray! 3 more to go!!!
**************

Dear Atlantic South,

Today is the last day that money collected from online registrations will help fund and enhance the venue. Even if you don't want free T-shirts or brownies for whatever reason, you could always sell them to other people or something.

We really really need just a few more people to register online today. If you are at all capable of registering today, you would be a real hero for doing so.

Today by midnight, we can do this with your help, let's get half a dozen people registered! Please!

Epic thanks to those who decide to register today, and to those who have already registered.

I think the problem with this is that everything is SOOOO EXPENSIVE

i do realize its to make people want to go to all 4 events because its cheaper than doing just 2
but at the same time its either you put out 60 right now or you only go to one or 2 events which costs about the same. Its kind of gay because i dont want to go to melee doubles or brawl singles but that would waste money cuz it would cost me almost 60 anyway 25 +20 +10 venue fee= 55

So right now i dont have any money
im waiting to get the 60 to do them all
If it was normal fees i think this would be already filled up

These are normal fees for a national tournament. 60 is pretty reasonable considering it's 4 events and if you, say, went to gigs twice you'd be paying $50. The only reason everyone hasn't already registered is because frames didn't tell everyone about the money thing sooner.

ps i registered yesterday ;)

Actually zoro, you've got that wrong, there wouldn't be an extra 10 dollar fee because you've already paid it in the 25 and 20 dollars for registration, so it would be 25+20 = 45 + processing fee, so like 46 ish

I have a question, if im paying $25 for the doubles fee then is the overall team worth $50? Thats kinda weird considering its usually $20 a team.

I say hit a hotel with a good confrence room and everyone's happy
I say pull 20,000 bucks out of your *** and you're set!!!

:colorful:
For real, what people don't understand is the Y was NOT our first choice, we went to like 30 other places before there. We were fortunate that the Y ended up having a lot of great stuff, but to be honest, we took it partly because it was the cheapest we could find. The convention center, which was my first choice, was 4000 for the weekend, and the cheapest hotel was 5000 A DAY. Plus none of this covered food and housing, and what people don't know is that when you book a hotel conference room, you HAVE to book rooms for people to stay in and pay that cost up front as well, so it's a LOT of money.

LOL, I didn't mean to offend...I was just saying it costs A LOT more than people would think to book a hotel conference room!!!

:colorful:
No, you were right, i was just telling people about how much it cost and stuff, that wasn't directed toward you negatively lol

We checked, and it was about $1300 more, I believe. Plus there would be less space, still no housing, and none of the cool things that are in the Lockheed Martin center in the venue we decided on.
