Just nerf Chu and call it a day.

I seriously felt bad for Laz in that set. As soon as Chu started planking, I thought "you gotta be kidding me, pls Chu!". But you know what, this ain't Brawl, and there were certainly ways that Laz could have got him (like he did with AGT a few times). Playing the camp game is still legit in PM, albeit a lot less prevalent and only viable for a few characters.

You all are giving Laz too much credit. Both he and Chillin could have played more patiently and discovered the counterplay on the spot. Some people just aren't that good at developing counterplay on the spot, and just because they can't doesn't mean no one can. People have already theorycrafted plenty of solutions in this thread, none of which were tried.

I don't need to do it myself, Chu is already trying to do it. He's now won S@X twice in a row with it, I'm curious to see if it will win a third time.
pink fresh won 5 times in a row with Lucas doesn't mean Lucas is broke.

broke means that using that tactic one would win near 100 percent of the time and not just the top players but everyone using that tactic. just because something is good doesn't mean it is broke or even needs a nerf let alone something that has a ton of counter play and only works well on people who are being careless

It really sounds like people need to figure out the match-up in a sense.

If a character has something really good, people have to figure out a counter measure to it. Kirby has been out for a few months and someone is just now developing a new strategy that works a lot better than it did in previous iterations.

People will find out how to counter it. It's just not understood properly yet. No reason to change the game entirely to counter a few ledge based stratagems.

Indeed, he had so many options and just required some thought process. Throwing the bomb upward to build up on that, varying the distance of the boomerang throw, zair. I think he missed/SD'd a couple AGT attempts as well.

Also with JewChainz, I might sound super doubtful here but I don't believe he knows the two different weak and strong inputs for side-b: along with being able to low and high hop during it. He also coulda lived on this one PS2 recovery if he just side-b'd and cancelled to get more distance.

Pinkfresh has this early player look to him, where he doesn't cover himself in the air well.
