Playing to win AND for fun?

Who finds competive matches fun.

If they're weren't fun, why would we be playing them.
I play to win, but I have fun while doing it. I don't know what some people would say on this, so I want thoughts >_>

If you don't care when you lose, you won't try as hard to win. That's playing to avoid anyone but you having fun; the game is way less fun if my opponent isn't trying hard.

yeah i play more for fun
i havent entered a tournament yet :/, but the next one my cousin is gonna take me
but yeah when i play with friends its always competitively, but of course fun

I personally find intense 1v1 matches the best.
Sadly, I no longer see any fun in this game aside from competitve, tourney ruled, 1v1 or 2v2 matches.

Competitive matches are fun. I like to see how I stack up against other players, and see how much I've improved since my previous foray into a tournament setting.

I pity those who play competitively and don't enjoy it...

Real Brawl matches hardly occour for me however, cause I rarely have anyone to play with anymore. :/

I play competitively against my will. Some guy holds a gun to my head and forces me to do it. I hate it. Competitive play is so depressing, but I have to do it. Sorry, but I never play for fun.
