Not when your original is broken.Sounds like a waste of money.
The only reason I am debating it, is because I really only play Wii U now.

I'm guessing he will be $5 for the wii u and 3ds combo.Hopefully Lucas will be 4.00$, I already have money in my wallet for him. A leftover 7 dollars that I was going to use to buy a game but I decided I'd just save it for him when he comes out since the time is coming near.
inb4 he's $19.99Hopefully Lucas will be 4.00$, I already have money in my wallet for him. A leftover 7 dollars that I was going to use to buy a game but I decided I'd just save it for him when he comes out since the time is coming near.
Im gonna buy him when he goes live but Im gonna Play him in 3ds Because i Dont want to wake up my parents, lolI swear if it's the last thing I do I will make sure I buy Lucas the instance he goes live.
I am potentially going to buy a second 3ds cart just to imagine that he never left the roster and was a starter like Brawl.
Yeah I finally got money for the first time in a long time because it was recently my birthday.I'm guessing he will be $5 for the wii u and 3ds combo.
And your post reminds of how much it could suck being a kid under 16 with no job (I assume). Gotta budget that allowance and birthday money etc..
No D:inb4 he's $19.99
I'd still buy him.inb4 he's $19.99
Despite how much I love Lucas, I wouldn't do it. Not only is it a unreasonable price, it will make Nintendo a horrible company for overpricing DLC and we'll only be supporting their bad intentions and they'll continue releasing DLC at those prices.I'd still buy him.
May 32nd most likely.June's right around the corner, I'm hyped. :3
With E3 on the 16th, when do you guys expect Lucas to be released?
They're probably working on other DLC as well alongside Lucas.also, I should mention that they said they were aiming for june... we might get him later... although I have no idea why it's taking this long.
You can actually buy that house?Phew I finished the first Earthbound challenge a hour ago! It's basically buying the house on the shore of Onett for $7500, and you can only grind money from defeating The Sharks. Took me a solid 3 hours of grinding to get all of that money.
Yes you can! It's nothing big though, it's just a dirty beat up abandoned old house with a cruddy story in there haha. I read that there's a book that tells you all the places the cameraman is at too but I didn't see any book in there that tells you.You can actually buy that house?
What if it was a pack?Despite how much I love Lucas, I wouldn't do it. Not only is it a unreasonable price, it will make Nintendo a horrible company for overpricing DLC and we'll only be supporting their bad intentions and they'll continue releasing DLC at those prices.
Yes of course I would but definitely not for only one characterWhat if it was a pack?
With Lucas, Roy, Ryu, 2 new stages and gamemodes.
Would you still get it for that price?
He is a fairly iconic figure to fighting games with an already fleshed out moveset though, so I can sort've see where they were going with the decision. Whether or not he'll fit in with the rest of the cutesy Nintendo cast, we'll have to see.. I personally didn't see Snake fitting in with Brawl, but the idea has grown on me.I know you're all gonna hate me for saying this, but... I think Ryu is a horrible idea. he's just so bland. I can't imagine him fighting Kirby... it just seems too ...? I don't know... Roy on the other hand should get an entire moveset revamp before being added to smash 4. we REALLY don't need three Marths. maybe they could make him a faster Ike clone? that would be weird though. ehhh....
I'll defend him in that he's at the very least more interesting than Lucina, since his gimmick is that he's stronger at the hilt of his blade, unlike Lucina who is literally just noob Marth. I suppose that means you really need to do some serious close-quarters combat to use Roy effectivly.I know you're all gonna hate me for saying this, but... This, honestly Snake was one of the last characters I'd expect in Brawl. This is especially considering the type of games that Snake comes from (which can be pretty dark). In addition wasn't James Bond considered to be in Melee too but was removed for some reason? On the other hand, Ryu is much more of a better fit than Snake and I'm saying this as a huge Snake fan because look at my sidebar flair. I mean I'd love to have Snake back in the game but Ryu makes a lot more sense and as said before, he's a iconic fighting game character and his moveset wouldn't be to much of a hassle to create. He is a fairly iconic figure to fighting games with an already fleshed out moveset though, so I can sort've see where they were going with the decision. At the end of the day I'm just incredibly thankful we're getting more characters at all. Lucas was enough for me!
been waiting for this remix since 2013When June comes:
If you look at the motion sensor mine from 64 and melee, I think you'll find it's from James Bond...?This, honestly Snake was one of the last characters I'd expect in Brawl. I can see why everyone thinks Lucina is a lamer version of Marth, but to me I always saw her as a balance between Roy and Marth. She can space with the tip of her blade, or get in close when she needs to, rather than having to commit to a single style of play.I'll defend him in that he's at the very least more interesting than Lucina, since his gimmick is that he's stronger at the hilt of his blade, unlike Lucina who is literally just noob Marth. But that aside... I've got Lucas, I have everything I wanted from DLC. I am happy if other people can also get their old main back.
Honestly, I think the biggest thing that would keep out of smash is how he's infamous for being the worst Lord in the FE series gameplaywise.I'll defend him in that he's at the very least more interesting than Lucina, since his gimmick is that he's stronger at the hilt of his blade, unlike Lucina who is literally just noob Marth. I'm going to get all the hate in the world for this, but I would rather not get more characters than have Ryu in this game. I know how iconic his status is, but to me he just doesn't fit in, and messes up my feel for the game with his presence alone. He's just not for me, but good for whoever wanted him.I know you're all gonna hate me for saying this, but... I think Ryu is a horrible idea.
To be honest I agree and remember back when Sakuri said he didn't want any characters from another fighting game, I agreed with him that Ryu would just be bland.I'm going to get all the hate in the world for this, but I would rather not get more characters than have Ryu in this game. From what I've heard about melee Roy, he's a semi-clone just like Lucas so I don't think us as Lucas fans have the right to really complain about more clones but I do agree that I hope they bring something new to the table and make him something that's not a semi-clone.I'm going to hold my judgement on Ryu and Roy until we see them in-game, because we don't know what Sakurai has in mind for the two, and it could blow away all expectations.
However, I am worried that Roy will keep his Melee moveset since Mewtwo and Dr. Mario did too, which would mean that we will have 3 Marths in this game, with one behind a paywall.
He really isn't. Roy just has fire effects for his attack animations that don't really change the way you play him at all and are more so aesthetic (I think Up smash was the only attack that actively used the whole fire effect to trap opponents and do multiple hits). Almost of his moves use the same animations as Marth's and they have less practicality to them because of Roy's slower speed and center-tipper-majigger. The only reason that they're so far apart on the tier list is because Roy doesn't have any of the things that make Marth so good. From what I've heard about melee Roy, he's a semi-clone just like Lucas so I don't think us as Lucas fans have the right to really complain about more clones but I do agree that I hope they bring something new to the table and make him something that's not a semi-clone.
This is the people's arguement, isn't it? While I do agree with your opinion and that the facts are there, Sakurai isn't completely idiotic. He saw our reactions to clones and he knows that not alot of people actually enjoy Mirror Clones (moveset literally the same with changed effects). However, I am worried that Roy will keep his Melee moveset since Mewtwo and Dr. Mario did too, which would mean that we will have 3 Marths in this game, with one behind a paywall.
This. Not to mention, if he's gonna put Roy in, there's seriously no need to put 3 FREAKING MARTH'S in the game if it can be helped. : \ At least differentiating his moveset a bit would help with that. This is the people's arguement, isn't it? I highly doubt Roy will use the same moves that he did in Melee and even though he'll be an obvious clone, I want him to be at least a semi-clone with a way different moveset.
I'm just basing it off what I heard, a lot of Roy mains in Melee say the biggest thing about maining Roy is trying to not play him like Marth because they're not similar at all. In the end I don't really care who's right or wrong and there are a lot of people who want Roy back. I find it hypocritical if Lucas players are going to treat Roy like this when we were once like this.He really isn't. Lucas on the other hand shows a clear attempt at trying to differentiate him from Ness with a slew of completely different animations and attacks, yet still resembling Ness due to his appearance, specials, and forward smash.
But the difference is that Lucas has more to obviously differentiate him from Ness (standard attacks, grabs, based god Rope Snake), to the point where some argue that he isn't a clone. Meanwhile, Roy is a clear last-minute inclusion, down to many of his data files referring to him as "Emblem" instead of Roy, with his few differences only hindering him. This doesn't justify him as a semi-clone to me, and if that were the case, then I guess Pichu would be a semi-clone too on the merit of being so inferior to their counterpart that you have to rework the way you play them.I'm just basing it off what I heard, a lot of Roy mains in Melee say the biggest thing about maining Roy is trying to not play him like Marth because they're not similar at all.
