I've been advocating this for years. I'm glad people are starting to understand how good this is.

To the people who say HURR JUST PC EDGEGUARD/SHINE TURNAROUND/ETC.

This is the fastest possible way to grab the ledge, and there ARE instances where you WILL have to perform this technique. There is absolutely no reason to limit yourself and not learn this technique and perfect it. This isn't just some bull**** super-technical uselessly flashy thing, it has real uses.

Get on it!
which technique? pivot edge grabbing? sure its useful, and its not that hard depending on how fast your character is/dash length. So like everything else it depends.

the point tho...its terrible from a run aka you cant do it. most ppl have a hard enough time just staying in their dash dance anyway...u have to be close to the edge already in order to do it out of dash.

WDing towards the edge and just turning around is fine. or WDing and doing a pc walkoff with the left over momentum.

fastest way from run is shine turnaround ledge jump cancel, fastest way from a dash is with the piv depending on your character.

There arent alot of times when u only have 1 and only 1 option to take the stock which is grab the ledge, and on top of that there are even fewer times when the only way to grab the edge is by saving those few frames and grabbing the ledge nearly frame perfectly

If shine turnaround edgehog is good/fast enough for Mang0 I'm sure I can get by without extraneous tech skill

that said, I can probably pivot ledgegrab better than most of you, I just honestly don't see that it's worth the effort in a real time match, because, like Lovage said, IT'S GOTTA BE FRAME PERFECT *****

Because it has to be frame perfect is a ****ty excuse, take it as a challenge and practice that ish. You've been given a tangible goal, and you can only benefit from learning it.

Smash players suck.

yea, nothing wrong wiith frame perfect....after looking at frame data ive come to realize that many individual actions can be done frame perfectly, and consistently with practice....whats not possible at least to my knowledge is that frame perfect decision making that rivals future sight

LOL @ blanket statements such as I can probably pivot ledge grab better than most of you....just curious as to what give u that idea? not saying its not true, just wondering.

stop being a weiner rubyris LOL

it's a really difficult technique, is only good with a few characters and is barely faster than various other ways of grabbing the edge

the fact that it's really dependent on your exact stage positioning makes it kinda useless so don't worry about it ppl learn to WD out of shield better LOL
