Pit Matchup Discussion - Wario

You could really just say Beat Wario, instead of beat him in the air, because his best options are aerial.
If you control the course well, make sure Wario can't advance really, I'd say the match up becomes closer and closer to being in Pit's favor, but still not.
But just as Phantom said, do not camp him, ledge or stage.

I think he means to attack in the air before wario does. I fight Warios a lot and it changes the match up from bad to almost even.

So basically predict his moves and do your before he can do his? That has nothing to do with the matchup, buddy, that's just outplaying them.

no...i mean fight aerials with aerials...if your stuck on the ground your shield will chip away slowly... wario is excellent at punishing characters who just sit there watching him!!! you must fight back!!!!!!!!!!!

Rather you set the tempo of the game. Move around with him, warios love getting behind you when you think they're in front of you. I find pivot grabs to work, but I recommend staying on the side of him.

Warios not an easy matchup due to the size and he can move around quickly in the air. The bow and arrows arent very effective on him imo unless Wario gets on the Bike. If Wario tried to get back on the stage with the and Pit used the shield, would the Bike go the other direction?

Agree there, 40-60 is the match (On Wario's favor). He can't be chain-grabbed even though he's fat (as Admira B stated before). One momment you throw and try to regrab, the next your head is just slightly being chewed upon.

Yea camping's bad. It's best to wall with aerials, even if you're not trying to hit him. Keep the pressure on. Edgeguarding is key too. You prolly wont be able to gimp Wario, but edgeguarding gets you free damage. God knows Pit needs it to kill the fat *******. Wario's dair is why this matchup is such a pain in the ***. I'm try to start using nair OoS when Wario dairs my shield, but if that doesn't work then Pit has nothing. Shield grab is too slow and nair is the fastest OoS option Pit has.

And P.X. you killed me at like 65. Wario sucks. Fart really sucks.

combine these two top tier Pits analization of this matchup and you have a good ground work against the rapist! IMO its 55-45 Wario.. the matchup is hard but not as bad as the marth
