i thought that Raichu should have replaced Pichu, but that didnt happen.

Instead, Pichu replaced Pikachu by evolving into a Pikachu. Old Pikachu is ded.

I would have liked it, just like the transformation from Samus/ZSS. But the moveset would have had to be a completely different than the one from Pika..at least the A attacks and forward+B.
But isn't Raichu kinda..uhm..really ugly? "^^

Pikachu is basically the representative of Pokemon for nintendo. There's absolutely no reason for them to produce such a change when everyone's been happy with the Pikachu we all know and love.
