You can combo into it, but normally if you want a combo move you either uair or dair as opposed to purposely soft hit nair.

In my experience, 100% of the time Thunder, the part that hits Pikachu, pushes the opponent away even if they shield it and furthermore retains its infamous long-lasting hitbox. Maybe it's just something I do more often than you. I get hard reads with it frequently. You are using thunder, not T2. You shouldn't be using the actual T2 hitbox unless you have a hard read, like I said. Thunder doesn't really protect you if the person isn't bad, shields it originally, and then punishes you since now the hitbox isn't active against them.
I would a think that Pikachu has a lot of saving potential with a fast uair to give him another recovery. How well did/do you and MVD do? Also, does Florida have a thread where Everyone in your state gets together and discusses tournaments and stuff? Like this http://smashboards.com/threads/the-...onthly-10-july-20th-2013-mandeville-la.53259/Snake and Pikachu are a really awkward team. They have a bunch of things that work well for them, but also some fairly large weaknesses (Mostly the fact that Pikachu doesn't really have a move to get people off of Snake short of thunder). A HUGE advantage of the team is that we have got kills at like 50% because of like...c-4 to thunder to grenade. The kill potential of the team is dumb, Pikachu is really good at saving snake off-stage, and they have a really solid camp game.
Alright I just went back and looked at all my matches I saved. At the beginning of the tournament I was just taking down anyone who wanted to friendly, and only lost twice in friendlies to the MK that got third and a Luigi that went to last stock. (because Luigi is a MU that just scares me. Have you ever seen Anther vs. Boss??) Throughout the day my DI, SDI, and momentum cancel was fantastic. I was alway getting KOed from 140%-200%. By the middle of the day when it was time for pools, and I still had that confidence. Then by the end of the day [bracket and post tourney friendlies/Money matches] I was just ugly. My matches from the end of the day showed me missing QAC a LOT! That's something I never miss! As for the SDs; I had a bad input error and pressed Down-D after ledgedropping and just dove down to my death lol. And there was other times where I inputed an aerial instead of QA or Skull bash and just ended up dying because the move wasn't over yet. I saw myself get punished a whole lot by the end of the tourney from missed QACs. My advice to you is to not lose your composure. CPUs aren't intimidating; but when you have to play the best guy in your state followed by the guy who bodied you in friendlies, you get kind of distraught. I mean on the outside I was looking like ANTi: Cracking jokes and stuff during and in between matches. I got a lot of compliments like,"Hey man it was nice meeting you, you're a a really cool guy!" But subconsciously, I was deteriorating underneath and I didn't even realize it until I got knocked into losers and lost to that ZSS (Which I should NOT have lost to. I was so much better than him). Just keep yourself in check.
It's damage is fairly low...but it puts Chu in good attack positions for most of his other moves (Tailspike U-Air back onstage > Pivot Grab/D-Tilt, for example), and the safety factor of U-Air...dear GOD the SAFETY FACTOR, it's freakin' STUPID (in a good way)Uair on the ledge??? I usually ledgedrop>Fair or Ledgejump>T-Jolt. And other stuff. But never Uair. It's such a weak attack that I only use it off the ground.
Ahh, the stupid fair stuff. I don't think anybody really figured out WHY that happens short of Pikachu's body moving in such a way he lands and since it's at the beginning of fair it autocancels.Yo I think this has already been asked but I don't remember... Can someone explain why this happens ?
