Pick a newcomer for each veteran series

So I want to play a game where we each pick a new character from each of these series: Mario, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Wario, The Legend of Zelda, Kirby, Metroid, Pokémon, Star Fox, F-Zero, EarthBound, Fire Emblem, Ice Climbers, Game & Watch, Kid Icarus, Pikmin, R.O.B., Animal Crossing, Punch-Out!!, Wii Fit, Duck Hunt, Xenoblade, Sonic, Metal Gear, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Street Fighter, Final Fantasy and Bayonetta. And yes, you've gotta pick a new from every one of those series. No veterans allowed on your list. Cut characters like Wolf are veterans. But alternate costumes like Alph can count as newcomers instead of veterans. Characters who have been Assist Trophies, stage hazards, or collectable trophies can be newcomers. One character per series. Tag-teams like Rex & Pyra are okay as long as they work like Ice Climbers and are inseparable in battle. And you cannot add new series to your list, so no ARMS characters. And even though the Inklings have been confirmed for Smash 5, you cannot have a Splatoon representative. And no Miis because they've been categorized as originated in "Super Smash Bros." series even though they technically first appeared in the Mii Channel.

Some quick notes:
Considered DK Jr for the Game and Watch Series but felt it's a bit cheap since he's technically a DK rep ended up going for Ziggy from the 1986 G+W game 'Squish'.
Nikki is also a cheat since Wii Fit U allows you to upload Miis. Close enough! Not doing the Balance Board.
Went for Slippy after Star Fox Guard made me consider a tower defence based moveset for him.

For each? Isn't that way too much?

Mario is ripe for new characters and I'll always expect to see a new Mario character in every single iteration. I would love to see classic Toad with enough Captain Toad references to kill two birds with one stone, the most suitable being of course an alternate costume that is the explorer's gear and a pickaxe attack. Peach's neutral B can always change to whatever they want it to be. I think they might have to give Toad more variety of expression or else he would be really annoying, please don't make him chipper and giggly like he always is. A more neutral expression for most of his animations, some scowls/frowns for attacks, etc. He was a little badass in SMB2 and that's kind of the Toad I want, because I loved SMB2.

Zelda is also ripe with potentially awesome characters, but picking just one is a no-brainer for me because of my love for MM. Skull Kid is and always will be my most wanted SSB character. If we can't have him, then Impa or Midna would be my second picks. But Zelda is probably done with characters.

Metroid needs something, it doesn't matter to me what. I'll happily accept even Adam Malkovitch. My dream character would be a Chozo warrior that's suited up with their unique style of technology, with possibly references to other things in Samus' arsenal from the franchise that she currently does not use in SSB. My second choice would be Dark Samus, which could be a chilling character with really pretty phazon attacks. I think Ridley is long overdue but not going to happen because of Sakurai's own feelings about the character. If a classic take on Ridley were in the game, akin to how he appears in Melee's opening movie, then I feel that would be pretty reasonable.

Mother/EarthBound is not going to get anybody else, I can promise you that, but Porky in his mech has been a much explored dream for many of us. We currently have no mech users, Porky's moveset would be screaming brilliant and he arcs two of the three games in this trilogy. On top of all this, he's just such a well written villain that I think he deserves it over Claus.

With Kirby I want to see Marx. After playing Star Allies I'm totally aboard that bandwagon, he's unique with interesting attacks and I imagine he'd have an acid trip of a moveset.

I'm a huge Sonic fan and have been since my first console when I was four years old, the Sega Genesis. Knuckles or Tails would be pretty dope. I feel like Tails has more moveset potential with the usage of some minor gadgets or junk attacks, but Knuckles might be more appropriate as the original Sonic rival and being a brawler to begin with. Either way, new Sonic characters would be extremely welcome in my eyes.

He needs no introduction nor explanation. Shoutout to Dixie Kong though.

Yoshi series: Kamek
Don't really care. He's kinda interesting but not the type of character I'm clamoring for, but he does seem to have some fan support here so I'll go with him for now.

Wario series: Ashley
I don't know much about WarioWare, but she does seem to be the popular choice. I'll make my own judgement when I play it.

Zelda series: Skull Kid / Midna + Wolf Link
Admittedly I've only played 1 Zelda game in ALBW so far, but these two characters do seem rather interesting if how people described them and Hyrule Warriors footage are anything to go by. Much better than adding Impa or Tingle purely because they're from Zelda.

Kirby series: Bandana Dee
Big Kirby fan here, would absolutely love Bandana Dee in Smash. A spear user is long overdue for Smash, and Bandana Dee provides just that and more, and he's also my personal favorite Kirby character. There are many Kirby characters that I'd love to see, but Bandana Dee is on top of all of them.

Metroid series: Ridley
He's big and everyone wants him. I'd want him to have a gimmick so that his moveset wouldn't feel bland tho, like the ability to use grabs in midair.

Pokémon series: Decidueye
He's my 3rd favorite Pokemon and my most wanted character as of now. He could have a moveset based around archery and his ability to fly.

Star Fox series: Andross
With a body of course. Andross could use various attacks taken from his boss fights and adds another (relatively) iconic Nintendo villain to the roster. Would be cool tho I'm not really clamoring for him.

F-Zero series: Black Shadow
People care about F-Zero, appearently. Whatever.

EarthBound series: Jeff Andonuts
I've only played Earthbound so far. Jeff could be pretty cool with the tools he uses in that game rather than just being a PSI user... I never liked Porky so I'm against the idea of adding him. Don't really care tbh.

Fire Emblem series: Azura
I guess... People seem to really like her for some reason and while I couldn't bring myself care for her at the slightest I will admit that waterbending + spear could be interesting. I wish I had more expirience with Fire Emblem beyond just Awakening and Fates so I could suggest a different character.

Kid Icarus series: Hades
He's great. That is all.

Pikmin series: Alph
I like semi clones and Alph could be a pretty cool semi clone of Olimar with Rock Pikmin. Not really clamoring for that to happen but it's likely.

Animal Crossing series: Isabelle
Punch-Out series: King Hippo
Whatever x2. Those are the 2 series with playable characters that I care about the least (along with F-Zero, Street Fighter, Wii Fit, and the Retros), so do whatever you want with them.

Xenoblade series: Elma
I don't know much about Xenoblade, but I dislike Rex and Pyra's designs (Although I am not against their inclusions), whereas Elma's is much better. People also say she's pretty unique so I'll take their word for it.

Sonic series: Eggman
While Tails has always been my favorite of the bunch, Eggman just has so much more moveset potential, being a different type of mech user than Bowser Jr. is.

Metal Gear series: Raiden
Don't know too much about Metal Gear but adding the secondary protagonist seems appropriate enough.

Mega Man series: Zero
I've only played the first 2 X games so far, but I remember Zero being really awesome, and I would love to have a lightsaber wielder on the roster.

Street Fighter series: Guile
Take it from here, Smooth. (I don't care about Street Fighter)

Tiptup's a Rare character who never had their home in any one series. They may have been present in Banjo Kazooie and Tooie in some form but, IIRC at least, they were also in Conker's Bad Fur Day and a few other Rare properties. They first appeared in Diddy Kong Racing and, since they appeared in the DS remake/ruination when Banjo didn't, they clearly aren't considered a part of the Banjo Kazooie universe, or in any way tied to Microsoft's Rare.

Besides all that, though, I'm just pissed off with the fact that Diddy Kong got included with no reference to the best game that he's starred in.
