you are the first to ask me that prime. thank you. and i realize that some have problems recording so to those then dont worry about it.

my main problem with hungrybox and co 18 is that they know not to go into the air and to throw a waddle dee when i close. the ftilt cancels the tjolt and when i try to get above them to tjolt them they pshield it and get underneath me and wait to see where i land or attack if i still have lag from the tjolt. they completrly render it useless.

whenever i grab they just do their spotdodge thing and i can never grab. ever. even when i wait for the spotdodge they just spotdodge again. idk how. i realize that i should just dsmash but when it causes like 4% damage its kinda aggravating. any other d3 i would just wait till they try to land to get a free grab but they know better. they NEVER approach and idk how to approach a DDD. the ftilt outranges everything i do and even when i dodge it they grab me before i can get close. if i try to fsmash them its an easy sptododge to another ftilt or grab.

note: i was impying that the ddd's that you played were scrubs or that it was obvious that they didnt know how to play a pika.

Just keep tjolting and camping from far away. They can't pshield/ftilt forever, and once they get hit even once, you have the lead, and they're forced to approach.

That's the advice I got from other people when I asked, and I tried it..... **** works. Once DDD has to approach, the match gets much easier.

Just don't camp from right in front of his face, and you'll be safe.

There are only ~3 frames between his spotdodges (I.... think) where DDD's vulnerable to grabs.... partial invincibility, Z axis stuff, blah blah. Basically, don't even try to grab him if he's spamming his spotdodge. Dsmash or dtilt instead (dsmash is generally better).

Don't spotdodge his ftilt -- perfect shield/shield it.

Force them to approach with camping (see: my first quote).

Fsmash is too slow, and DDD's grab range is too far.... only use it to punish landings/missed grabs/cooldown lag/etc.

Don't ever try to grab a spot dodge spamming DDD. They're only vulnerable for like 1 frame so it's like near impossible to get the grab. Just dsmash when they spot dodge. If you don't like dsmash then maybe fair or bair might work, I never tried those but the fair could lead to a grab.

I feel like you'd end up hitting him with the last hitbox frames of fair.... including the one with the knockback, so you wouldn't be able to grab him afterwards. Also, a rising fair might be safer unless you have insane timing, and you wouldn't be able to get a grab out of that either.
