Life Will Change is up there. I chose Tokyo Daylight as I liked the calm jazz groove feeling that separates itself from the louder tracks and vocal tracks I took. Last Surprise, Beneath the Mask, and Rivers in the Desert probably will be put up sometime. They were on my back up list.

I was thinking more along the lines with music that suits Smashing to.

Last Surprise i think would fit smash perfectly, it starts off strong and stays strong throughout, not to mention it's one of the most iconic themes from it's game. I can understand your reasoning on the other 2 though, Rivers in the Desert is more of a slow burn with a lot of buildup (though i could see the instrumental version working) and Beneath the Mask might be a bit too chill and reliant on it's lyrics to work well for smash.
Your other picks i think are pretty great actually, though as iconic as it is for the series, Poem for everyone's Souls might be too slow and calm for smash. So if any theme gets an original remix, it'd probably be that one .
I'd also suggest some of the palace themes like "Ark", "Price" and "Whims of Fate".

I absolutely love Tokyo Daylight, so that's awesome as a pick I didn't really consider. Would love that especially if the stage is Shibuya that transitions into Mementos. Last Surprise and Rivers in the Desert are both a must, with Ark and Whims of Fate as cool possible ones that are less needed. Last Surprise should be the number one track in general, though, considering it's the battle theme.

I don't actually expect this song to be in Smash, so it's really just a personal hope of mine, but I would love it if The Days When My Mother Was There made it into the game. It's easily my favorite Palace theme.

My personal choices if they're strictly going for only P5 themes:

Life will Change (both instrumental and vocal)
Awakening ~ Will Power (first song will lead into second like how the games does in pivotal moments)
Keeper of Lust
Blooming Villain
Last Surprise
The Poem for Everyone's Souls
Beneath the Mask (both Instrumental and vocal)
Mementos
Freedom and Security
Whims of Fate
Ark
Rivers in the Desert (both instrumental and vocal)
Final Boss theme

And like how the FF fanfare theme loops continuously for Cloud, they should do something similar with the game's victory theme

i think it's pretty possible, especially if you look at some stages which have a list of some 60+ available songs for them with many simply coming from the original game, i could imagine them just dumping a huge part of the ost onto it considering how well loved the music was

I completely agree. I think Sakurai is gonna go balls to the walls with persona music. With the new stuff coming out about him being a huge persona fanboy, and Sega generally being easy to work with, I think we'll have a Castlevania sizes music list at least. Persona is really well known for its music, and music is one of the three main things advertised in the fighter pass. I'm super pumped to see what they include.

I was looking up Smash 4 DLC and the new IP to get the most music via DLC was Bayonetta, with 11 songs. With a few stipulations, I knocked this down to 10 songs with a challenge:

-10 songs
-2 remixes max
-2 non-P5 songs max

I was really tempted to include Mass Destruction just because I love the idea of BABYBABYBABY in Smash, though if I'm honest, I prefer Wiping All Out.

I really hope Mementos is the stage, I love the aesthetic for that area, especially as it gets deeper down. Casino could be fun visually but it's my least favourite of all the palaces to be honest.

As long as Rivers in the Desert, Life Will Change and Last Surprise are in there I'm happy with any music choices.

Between Memento, Morgana, and the music- I'm already a fan of Persona, and I have never played.

Seriously, this stage looks zany and fun. But edgy. That's not usually what we get of colorful stages.

I'm all in.
