Oh so your the emo of the bunch!

Now i get it...
@HyperSuperSonictheHedgehog Lol. On the post and your name. You will now be known as HSSH or
H(u)SSH. You have the option. The second is so it pronounces something cool.

@memophis the two infractions were probably definitely because one of your posts was the following:

and the other was this:

.............
And would you really want SamuraiPanda to do his job here? There would be so many infractions it wouldn't be funny..
Btw ofcourse Panda is gonna mod his own thread more than a board that
1. Offers nothing to him
2. Odds are offers nothing to anyone (jks)

P.S. I think its a bad idea, but don't worry about it, there is no way it will break out at any competitive level.

Let them play their games. They think they have a shot at balancing Brawl? Do you know how long it took trained programmers to create those characters? Changing a few stats isn't going to be Brawl's salvation, nor will anyone else see it that way. But in the end, they are the self-appointed SBR, and they are human... and what do we all know about humans!?

Think you know the answer? Check at the bottom of the page for the answer!

So go let them make their mistakes (if that's what they are in your eyes). If you really want your opinion heard, your best bet is to give a strong basic argument, not infraction blossoming posts.

Sonic in low-tier?! Nah, these guys just want to hurry up or something, not even a full year into this junk and already people are going nuts with crap. Personally getting rid of things like tripping and other random factors are nice, but to change a game entirely? I am almost positive that Brawl right now is going to stay the way it is (except with the soft-ban of MK, we all know it's coming.), and people will continue to play it...

To be honest, I don't even know why people miss something like Wavedashing, remove the random factors out and Brawl could be if not is already just as competitive as Melee.

I think the whole issue with hacking brawl and stuff for competitive play is that in melee, players took advantage of the mechanics that already were in melee, exploited them and put them into competitive use. We are trying to CHANGE(obama, lolaso) a game that already has been made, to suit the preferences of the competitive players.

In melee, everyone had the same game. Those who wave dashed could, without affecting other players. Whether you waved dashed or not, EVERYONE could do it, if so they chose and knew how.

Those seeking to make hacked brawl competitive are making a new game. Similar, but new. Whether you are changing mechanics to add hit stun, L cancelling, and directional airdodges, or you are simply altering the properties of individual moves like what Panda's thread is about, you are still providing a different game. You have to play differently. And no matter how much they try to encourage it, not everyone will have access to it. What if some people are playing with an older patch or don't have access to it? How do you guarantee an individual hasnt altered the game just sliiightttlyyyy so that its almost unnoticable to make their characters better? Like sonic fair always shield poking, or sonic fsmash always beating out tornado. Tiny range increases, etc? I seriously doubt they would have time to look through the code in all the SD cards and junk.

I don't like the idea. As memphis said, its scary.

I'm anti hacked brawl for true competitive play, except for infinite replays. No tripping isn't that bad either, but I simply wouldn't go past that.

Yeah that's another problem, people who don't have the hax or the newer patches will be left in the dust...Damnit Nintendo has made such a great game now, and they just ruined it with messing up some stuff and now not even looking at it...all they care about is how much money they are getting.

yo,
im new to the site but not new to the game.
im no pro, but i consider myself a pretty decent player. im pretty well round with my main charater but ive been playing the game since its been out so ived gotten the basics down with everyone.
i like playing with everyone. i mix it up alot. i go from mario, yoshi, c. falc, samus, link, fox, to the occasional roy ramage.
those characters are jsut with messing around games with my friends though, for serious games ill go with falco or most likey marth. ive been playing with marth since the beginning of time

im also part of a clan where we're goign to support Brawl, and other popular Wii games, so if anyones interested you talk to me about it. I played Halo 2 for them under their spartan fleet and i am Game Commander (Guy in Charge) for Unreal Championchip 2 with their xbox division. the games popularity died out so theres nothing really going on with it.

they also have a playstation division and a pc divsion. they also have some thing with DS so if anyone plays Metroid or Mario Kart then your welcome to scope out the situation.

i hope i can become a valued member of the smash community.
Roflcopter or? Lolocaust?

Release the valued member inside you memphis. Release him.

Well at least thinkman from that thread suggested creating a smash bootloader channel so everyone would have access to the hacks. Smart, but i still don't like the idea. Theres not sense in arguing it in that thread anymore though. That discussion should be taken to another thread.

Lolaso Wind Owl. Yea, its basically an anarchy over here.

Anyways, I'm officially hijacking this thread to make it into a "what was your first post thread?" Mine is full total noobular lulz.

Hey guys, I'm new here, but I'm glad to join this community. Seems like there's lots of cool peeps here.

Anyways, just thought I'd share some awesome non-Lucky Sonics that I haven't seen posted

Don't worry Lucky, you're still my fav =P

Yea its, against a cpu, but smart use of the homing attack, and great Spring and Uair usage. The end is specially awesome.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=ihP_E8aeamU

Even though the Peach didn't seem too great, starting from about 1:50, its just absolute Sonic ownage, especially near the very end:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=Uk4soVWrNts

Now I don't have the game, nor have I played it, but from these vids and Lucky's, I'm starting to see lots of potential for Sonic as a competitive character who's not good only with items, teams or with more than 2 players. I see lots of potential for using the spring + Uair as a finisher. Also Sonic's running speed could be highly advantageous for keeping enemies in the air while you smack them left and right, like towards the end of the second clip. It must be frustrating that he's so quick and he wouldn't let them touch the ground! Also, maybe I'm just not seeing right, but it seems like Sonic's Dair can "overcome" alot of his enemies moves(forgive me, I'm new to smash terminology as well, is that what's called cancelling?) Finally, if Sonic's homing attack is used as described in the first video(read the "about this video"), it could become useful, especially since Sonic has such a great recovery.

Just observations from a Smash noob though. Feel free to disagree! =P

P.S. Can someone explain to me what "priority" means? Mucho appreciated.

Awesome, Here's my first post, I did it in the M&G section.

Hello everybody, my real first name is Jose, my online alter ego is Kinzer, when and if we do some online brawls you will see me as "Knzr", and I will tell you a story of why I decided to become a member in the first place.

It's summer vacation ,(hurray!) I am 15 with one more year to do nothing but slack off until I can legally get a job, I want to spend it getting better at a game that I find VERY amusing. I was just browsing the internet for anything Related to Brawl, and eventually I ended up here. I want to be able to compare myself to other people, (because beating up level 9 computers doesn't cut it) so I am always looking forward to accepting friendly challenges. I will take on any terms, items or none, stocked/timed/coin matches, whatever, you name it. I am decent with a few characters, to name a few:

Falco
Lucario
Meta Knight
Sonic
Ike
Marth
Mario
Luigi
Jigglypuff
Wolf
Ness
(I could be forgetting some people but what do you want from me posting at 5:30 in the morning?)

Please refrain from posting on this topic, if I remember/need to add anymore stuff, I will do it, and if you want to speak/talk/chat with me, please do so with PMs.

Over and out!

I kept mine pretty straightforward, I can still play those characters decently, and now more.

Well yeah...I find myself pretty versitale with the cast. I can use 1/2 the cast at a casual level. About 1/2 of the people I can play I can seriously pick them up to a competitive level if I wanted to, and I already do use 4 of them at that level as of now (Sonic, Ike, Lucario, and who CAN'T pick up MK?!)

Edit: Puffball, if you ever went into the Meet and Greet section to introduce yourself, you'll know because you probably made your own thread. Otherwise your very first post is lost if it was made anywhere else. XD

Puffball! You posted in that thread from my first post XD. I posted the video to SonicOrochi's Sonic beating up CPU DK with HA and Uair>Spring>Uair star KO. =P And you replied "I've been waiting for someone to use UpB as an offensive move... That video made my day" XD! or something along those lines =P. I feel special! Ahh the memories

I THINK I did...but it was so long ago...

Would I just search the threads then?

Yeah.

Well, I checked out all my threads that I made, and I found my first post.

Oh, and also:

I've only made 19 threads in total since I've been here. EPIC.

Lol, my first post. I was such a silly little nublet:

Heard of this forum awhile back, but up till now I've been too lazy to join. Glad I'm here though, website looks pretty good.

Just a side note, my favorite SSB/SSBM characters are Kirby and Jigglypuff, but I'm "decent" with everyone, except Peach.
lol.

I look back now, and I was only mediocre with everyone...
Even Jiggs until three months down the line after joining Smashboards.

Then I evolved into Rapeball64.
And then back to Puffball64 because it just sounded more cool.

Yeah Puff, just look into the M&G homepage, and then search the threads, if you made one, it will come up, if you made a post in the section, it will come up.

Off-topic(like anybody cares): http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=rkZuiEE9Ujs&feature=user

Can you say BRUTAL IMPACT?!?!?
(look at the very end, where Kirby is killed, you will shit your pants like me if you play Ike & Sonic.)
