Peach Question and Answer Thread

I shall try to compile all asked questions with their respective answers here, and perhaps create something like a FAQ.

What happens when Peach gets the Super Leaf? :D

Other characters pretty much get her floating ability, right? Does she get infinite floating or something?

She first does her own float. When her float ends, she starts doing the super leaf float, thus extending her float a bit. The animation of her own float and the super leaf float look different though.

However, if you execute an aerial when her own float is about to end, she will drop while pulling off the aerial and she won't be able to extend her float.

It seems to block attacks in the same way it did in Brawl, except she now also turns around when she is attacked from behind.

It still sucks though

Fast characters like Lil Mac and Sheik seems to be really intimidating for her at the moment, so do you know any good strategies against them?

Can you still move Peach a little during the starting frames of Peach Bomber? In Brawl, I remember it was possible to move Peach (forward/backward) a little bit during the starting animations of Peach Bomber.

I have got no clue honestly. Little Mac seems very doable. He is somewhat weak vs her air game and turnips seem to work quite well vs him. I have only played two Little Macs though and neither of them was anthing spectacular. No clue about Sheik.

Nope, that's not possible anymore. Instead, of you move your control face to the opposite side during the first frames of Peach Bomber, she will do a Peach Bomber in the opposite direction. So if you do a Peach Bomber to the right and then quickly tilt left, she will turn the other way and do a Peach Bomber to the left. You have to be somewhat fast with this.

How do you get Peach to float really close to the ground? I think that mechanic was called float cancelling in melee? I've seen the computer doing it when I play against her but I can't figure out how to do it myself

@ micstar615 Float Cancelling is actually something different! In Melee, if Peach performs an aerial and then lets go of Jump (i.e. stops Floating), upon landing she will receive no landing lag associated with the aerial she is performing. Sadly, this mechanic isn't present in Smash 4.
